“This is our neighborhood grocery store. We live a block away so is a pretty convenient location for us. For being a smaller grocery store, they have a good assortment of grocery items. They have a decent produce section. If you keep an eye on the cheese counter, you can find some really good discounted prices on some tasty cheeses.”
“Good selection and stock gets rotated pretty regularly. Seems like prices run about 10-15% higher than other grocery stores in town if you don’t use a Hy-Vee card and take advantage of sales. People at the checkout counter are usually pretty nice and helpful. They also are a remote pickup location and have a drop off bin for the Lawrence public library, so that’s nice. Store is clean and well lit.”
“I went there and ordered two tacos one Asada and one chicken they ended up throwing in a free Al pastor taco to try on the house. I ended up liking the Al pastor the most if you haven’t already tried this place. Definitely give it a shot. It’s amazing!!!”

“I get prescriptions filled here regularly and the staff is great. They are good at answering any questions you have and are super friendly. You can also have your prescriptions setup to autofill if they have them on file and they also have a text messaging system to notify you when prescriptions are ready to be picked up.”

“Ordered 48 pieces of fried chicken and 2lbs of prepared macaroni and cheese for pick up at 5pm. Deli manager was kind enough to accept my order without the required 24 hrs advance notice. They were just finishing boxing the chicken when I arrived so it was nice and fresh. Deli mgr was so helpful he helped load the purchase in my car! Thank you all for the great service ?”

“My favorite store in town. My family has been shopping here for 10 years- at Kroger stores for my whole life. Very nice staff, produce is always beautiful, and the store itself has a nice feel and flow. Pricing is good. Not as cheap as Walmart (Walmart lacks the fresh produce and atmosphere) but cheaper than Hy-Vee, Checkers, and Target. I like that it has a Starbucks, a great pharmacy, bread from the local bakery “Wheatfields”, a solid floral department, and the staff always seems very competent, quick, and well managed.”
“Had a wonderful experience working with MJ Ranch to coordinate our 1/4 beef purchase. As a first-timer arranging a larger beef order, they took care of us throughout all the steps and the processor they work with is also wonderful. And the beef tastes amazing from what we've tried so far!”

“5 stars isn’t enough. i just possibly had the most life altering kindness i have ever experienced. i’ve only ever been to this gas station once or twice before. i never got the name of the lady behind the counter but whoever was working around 10 am on 06/16/26 was the most genuine and kind person i have ever met. I walked into this gas station carrying a heavy, invisible weight, doing everything in my power to keep myself afloat. when i walked in to put gas on my pump, the stranger behind the counter asked how i was and when i said “good, hanging in there yknow?” and asked how she was, she said “i’m good, thanks for asking.” after letting out a little “oh.” as if she had seen through the mask. she then offered me a soda. apprehensive at first, i told her there was no need and she really didn’t have to do that. she insisted and told me it was on her. she then said “hopefully it will make your day a little bit better.” i walked away to go get my soda and by the time i had walked up to thank her and let her know her impact on me, i had already started crying again. i told her that her actions will not be forgotten and i truly and deeply thank her for selflessly pushing her struggles and wounds to the side to show up for a complete stranger. she asked me if i was okay a couple more times to which i responded “yes, there’s just a lot going on.” she then said “i hope you are okay, please let me know if you need anything. i’m right here.” its crazy how selfless we can become. THAT is true kindness.”

“This is the best place in Lawrence for plant-based and allergy friendly food! There is a good selection of prepared foods and a good amount of options for the size of the store. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the staff pick signs around the store are a nice feature. Prices can be high at times, but sometimes sales here are 2 or $3 better than other stores in town, so you just have to be on the lookout. Sometimes they will be out of the same items for awhile, but that’s a minor thing. Overall if you live in Lawrence and haven’t been, you should definitely check the merc out!”
“Love Dollar General! They have become cheaper than the Dollar Tree now... They have a whole aisle of dollar items for you to choose from, it's delightful ? They run different sales weekly and also have a app if you wish to download it. They are very up to date with everything I think!!
