The gift shop always is decorated beautifully with great trinkets and house wares. The fudge selection is pretty large and delicious!

1400 S Esplanade St, LeavenworthHad my two Alaskan Malamutes boarded and groomed over July 4th weekend with Deb's Riverview Kennels, fantastic service and very friendly staff. The groomer did an amazing job on my long coated malamute, very thorough and she looks like a new dog:)

Khaki Hound and Camo Kitty
4501 Commercial Pl, LeavenworthHad a great experience at Khaki Hound and Camo Kitty this weekend. They bathed and groomed our daughters dog perfectly and cared for our lab for the day while we were at a wedding. Tina the lab was well exercised and socialized while there and I could tell she loved her time at Khaki Hound. We will be back!

My friend and I stopped by Bill’s on South 4th in Leavenworth, Kansas for lunch this afternoon, and we left thoroughly impressed.
Between us, we ordered and shared both daily specials: a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and the beef stroganoff. We also added a fried shrimp basket with fries as an appetizer.
Every dish arrived hot, fresh, beautifully presented, and generously portioned. The fried shrimp and fries were perfectly crisp, the pulled pork was tender and flavorful, and the beef stroganoff was rich, hearty, and packed with comfort-food goodness.
What stood out most was the quality, taste, and overall consistency of the food. Nothing felt rushed or ordinary. Each dish was clearly prepared with care.
My friend remarked that Bill’s coleslaw was especially fresh and creamy. The bread was nicely toasted, and the variety of sauces allowed each meal to be customized to individual tastes.
For dessert, I had an extra-large chocolate chip cookie with a cup of ice-cold of milk. It brought back childhood memories and provided the perfect ending to an outstanding lunch.
The restaurant itself was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, but what truly elevated the experience was the staff. From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. Everyone we interacted with, including management, was friendly, attentive, and eager to ensure we had a memorable visit.
Bill’s is the kind of local establishment that earns loyal customers through consistency, quality, and genuine care for the people who walk through its doors.
If you’re in Leavenworth and looking for a great lunch, you owe it to yourself to stop by Bill’s on 4th. It’s absolutely worth the visit, and I’ll definitely be back 💯
