One of my dogs is very reactive and so outings are very difficult for him and stressful for me. He desperately needed a groom and i warned them he’s loud and has separation anxiety, I apologized and crossed my fingers he would do well. They told me to give them 3-4 hours which is to be expected, but I was pleasantly surprised when I got a text about an hour and a half after dropping him off saying he was ready to be picked up. When i went to pick him up he was brought up front promptly and looked amazing! He typically whines and shakes in the car after any grooming and he was a happy content boy today so I know he was well taken care of. The joke was made if I hadn’t picked him up he was going to go home with the groomer today, I’m so happy they got to see his cute personality and love him like I do. Truly grateful for them as having a reactive dog is a challenge and can feel very defeating at times but they made it very easy. I will definitely be back for regular maintenance grooming. Spirit and I say thank you??

We wanted DIY but minus the clean up. This is the place! All of this provided and within arms reach: Towels, scrubber, suds, and dryer. Our senior gal was a bit skiddish, but with all of these tools at the ready we could focus on easing her nerves.

22026 W 66th St, ShawneeI just recently started coming here within the last few months because I wanted a new primary physician for my two cats and hadn't found one I was willing to call my veterinary team yet. I remembered living nearby in the past and how highly recommended they were by neighbors, so I started bringing my kitten here for his follow up shots and wellness checks. I wish I could remember the name of his vet, but can only brag about how loving and gentle she was to him! I had already decided after his two first kitten appointments that this would be the place I'd call home. It's affordable and every staff member shows so much love and care for every animal that walks through their doors.
To that point, my elderly cat (who had never been to this vet before) had taken up ill this last week and on a whim I called (and immediately started crying, worried about my cat) asking if there was a free appointment slot this last tuesday (day of). The person who answered the phone, Jenny, was the most KIND receptionist I've ever had the genuine pleasure of speaking with. She heard me start crying and told me "I'm here for you", which meant a world of difference for me in that moment. She then got with the vets and tried to switch around schedules to get my cat in ASAP, then promptly called me back, found a different day to schedule, gave me all the information I needed to feel good about keeping my kitty home for another day, and recommended urgent cares I could take her to for peace of mind if waiting a day would be harder for me. The compassion shown just in that interaction meant a world of difference. and calmed me down significantly.
At my cat's appointment yesterday, I told Dr. Wallis that I was worried about my cat's symptoms but only had about $400 to my name to take care of my kitty at that point in time. She was wildly understanding and very quickly worked up a treatment plan that worked for my budget but that would also do everything reasonably possible to help my cat in that moment. She stuck to it, didn't try to upsell anything (as others have mentioned for some reason), and it was finished within the hour. She got my cat exactly what she needed within the hour and I'm here writing this review right now because my cat is already back to acting more like herself thanks to the compassion and expertise she showed us. I could jump for joy seeing her already improving and knowing that my cat is in such good hands every time I'm there.
All in all, I moved to Kansas City and still drive to this veterinary office because the quality of care I've received every time I've been here has been genuine and phenomenal every time I've set foot inside, from the front desk to the doctors and everyone in between. You will not find another practice that cares so genuinely about your pets that is so understanding and reasonable on price anywhere that I can think of. I can't thank every staff member here enough for the love and relief they've brought me in the few months since I've made it my primary clinic.

Ruff Ranch KC
8130 Monticello Terrace, ShawneeI had to leave for Canada for a week, and instead of worrying about my two boys, Figgy and Baby Emilio, I left them at KC Ruff Ranch. It was one of the best decisions I could have made.
From the moment I dropped them off, the staff was kind, friendly, and professional. They answered my questions promptly, and if someone didn't know the answer, they quickly found the person who did. It was obvious they genuinely cared about both the pets and their owners.
The biggest compliment I can give KC Ruff Ranch came when I picked the boys up. They cried the entire way out of the facility and all the way back to the truck—and they're still complaining! I think they were telling me they had an absolute blast and weren't quite ready to leave all their new friends.
Knowing Figgy and Baby Emilio were safe, happy, and well cared for allowed me to focus on my trip without worrying about them. I wouldn't hesitate to board them here again. Thank you to everyone at KC Ruff Ranch for taking such wonderful care of my boys!

You get your coffee and can wander through their plants or go sit in the middle of the greenhouse on a soft couch and talk with friends. 3 of us had infants and the atmosphere was so nice for the babies as well, quiet and easy to take care of them as we hung out. I definitely am coming back as soon as I have a chance! Their vanilla caramel latte was delicious and their cinnamon roll was a hit as well! If you’re in KC, you need to stop in here.

Looks like they regularly do events and have revolving food truck outside. Didnt look like they had servers really, so plan on going up to the bar for drinks. Seems like a really fun place to be a regular!

The overhead fan was off fue a hanging international flag. Take the flag down! Its 98 degrees, and the fan is more important! The server spent alot time away, so getting a refill on fluids was harder than it should be with a party of six, and few patrons. I have had better experiences in the future, so I hope this was an outlier and not a trend for the price paid.

The prices are great too and the small is already a big portion. If you want to upgrade for the medium, it is only $1 more!
