I have been going to Dr. Van Petten for many, many years, and he has consistently proven himself to be one of the most compassionate and caring veterinarians I’ve ever known — both toward his human clients and their animals. He is straightforward, honest about every prognosis, and deeply committed to doing what is best for each pet. I first went to him back in the 1980s when my Doberman suddenly could not walk. Another veterinarian told me euthanasia was the only option. I refused to accept that without exploring every possibility, and I was told about Dr. Jeff’s acupuncture and holistic treatments. I took my dog to him, and within just two treatments — along with herbs he prescribed — my Doberman was walking again. He went on to live another three years and passed away at the age of 15, which is remarkable for a Doberman. Ever since that experience, Dr. Jeff has continued to help my dogs with acupuncture, herbs, and traditional veterinary care. He is both a traditional and holistic practitioner, and the combination of those approaches has made an incredible difference for my animals. He has repeatedly solved issues that pharmaceuticals alone could not.
His office staff is polite, caring, and — unlike many places today — they actually answer the phone instead of sending you through a voicemail tree or an AI bot. You feel like you’re talking to real people who genuinely care. Thank you, Dr. Jeff, for being the wonderful, kind, caring, and truly amazing veterinarian that you are. You have made a lifelong difference for my animals, and I am grateful for you every single time I walk through your door.
