“We've been living here for almost a year and I can say that I've enjoyed Jefferson on the Lake very much. The ladies in the office are always so nice and professional, they've answered dozens of my inquiries knowledgeably and without hesitation. There are a lot of dumpsters, and they are all emptied on time, every time, which is commendable. There is a lovely lake where you may enjoy fishing or just unwind and watch the sunset. It's also conveniently close to big shopping areas and restaurants. I love my apartment, and the area!”

From the very beginning, Wiesje provided amazing, seamless help throughout the application process, making the move-in experience stress-free. Sarah has been incredible when following up with me and has pointed me in the right direction. The maintenance team is equally incredible—when my apartment had a slight issue, Travis showed up in under 30 minutes and resolved it immediately. Everyone here is incredibly professional, kind, and genuinely attentive. It is rare to find a management team that cares this deeply about their residents, and their hard work truly makes this place feel like home. I truly appreciate the outstanding service and care the staff puts into this community!”
“In my attempt to look for a place to live after selling my house, I happened onto two Thousand Oaks Apartments in Shawnee, Kansas. Although my Family decided to set me up a place in their home, Valerie worked effortlessly to get me into what I needed. She had answers for all my questions immediately she’s very knowledgeable in her job. “My husband lives in this apartment for almost 5 years. I just moved last October from Philippines to live with him. The staff has been very friendly and their service is fast when we process the legal terms moving here. Since I lived in a tropical country its not easy to adjust the weather but the apartment gives me warm comfort. Our apartment has a nice view and we are close to a lot of stores.”

“After living at The Highlands for three years across multiple units, I can honestly say it was a great experience overall. The biggest highlight is the location. With easy access to I-35 and I-435, getting around the Kansas City area is incredibly convenient.
The property is well maintained, with attractive landscaping and grounds that are consistently kept up. The maintenance team deserves special recognition for their fast response times, quality work, and friendly attitude. I also had a great experience with the community, as neighbors were welcoming and friendly from day one.
I didn't have any major complaints. My main preference would be for larger kitchens, but that's more about my lifestyle and meal-prepping habits than a true issue. The office staff could sometimes be challenging to work with, though they were ultimately able to help when needed.
No apartment community is perfect, but The Highlands provided a positive living experience, and I would confidently recommend it to others.”

“Lived there for five years and just moved out today. Really sad to leave this beautiful home but I was moving out of state and couldn’t take them with me. Thanks to the amazing maintenance staff and grounds crew for keeping the place running. Management changed recently and I never had any issues. “Coming up to 4 years of staying here, and they have improved a lot since then. Maintenance are quick and friendly, or not so quick if the matter is less urgent which is understandable but nonetheless, they take care of it. In the beginning there was a roach problem, but after some time cleanliness and care, I rarely see them now.
-1 a star only because sometimes parking is terrible. If I get home too late from work or anything, I'd have to park 2-3 buildings over. Other than that, I enjoy my stay here.”

“I have owned my home in Santa Barbara for over 10 years. I ran into a situation and needed someone to mow and trim my yard. After an external search for a company that would take care of my yard that is the size of a postage stamp because I had it landscaped for minimal care with mainly mulch and river pebble I was unable to find anyone willing to do it that was affordable. I called the Santa Barbara office and Margot not only had a solution, she had it done within a couple of days, added it to my monthly lot fee, and was extremely easy to work with. Many thanks to Margot!
Everyone that has an issue with keeping up with their yard work should do the same. Letting your yard go creates issues with pests, is an eyesore and can be avoided easily by making a phone call.”
