“The folks at the pantry were very nice, helpful and not condescending. They made my visit extremely pleasant and were helpful . I was able to get fresh produce and some treats and even a little stuff for kitty. I was extremely impressed. Thanks to each and everyone for being gentle and kind and helpful. “Everyone was friendly and always had food snacks and drinks available, not a bad walk to or from the hospital. They had a movie room, a little play area off of the living room and dining room that kids can build with Legos on the Lego wall”

“Love volunteering, donating, and visiting this place. Staff are so helpful and friendly. When you commit your time and donating, not only is it rewarding but also, you're helping out the kids and those who are sick. They always need things here. Check their website for their wants and needs. I have donated some toiletries, travel size soap, shampoo, lotions etc. Sharing is caring. If you get a chance, you get to meet their mascot/pet dog. Very friendly.”
“We adopted our elder cat from Great Plains yesterday. What a wonderful organization! They care so much about their animals and take excellent care of them. Their adoption process is rigorous to ensure all adoptors are prepared emotionally and financially to care for a new pet and understand their medical and social needs. The staff is welcoming and very knowledgeable. Many volunteers help the staff care for the animals and give them much needed attention and stimulation. Their store has food and other pet care items available to purchase. It's a wonderful place to find your new family member!”
“This is one of my family's favorite places to visit in the city. There are a lot of animals to look at inside the building, a nice area to bird watch, and some trails with rock formations. It's usually pretty quiet too and clean. The staff is friendly. The birds of prey are really something to see as is the gigantic snapping turtle and mole.”

“Humble little non-profit bicycle shop ran by volunteers. Good selection of used bikes, seemingly fixed up like new, for a flexible price. The staff/volunteers are were friendly and knowledgeable, and had me in and out with a nice Schwinn. Very cool concept.”

“They were helpful and friendly. What I found unique and refreshing was how they tried to anticipate your needs and give you options. I highly recommend that veterans come to this location and register. Don't forget to bring a copy of your DD-214. This organization will also provide you with a box of food if you need it. They also have shelves filled with toiletries such as toothbrushes and toothpaste and many more things. Veterans Community offers many more services so give them a call or stop by.”

“I tell e.one about this place. They make having a pet affordable w the cost of shots less then half the price of a regular vet office. They are fast & friendly w a very effective way of processing their appointments w an easy to use website to schedule your appointment easily & they send out reminders every year when your pet is due for shots. They also have cat & dog food available for free for those who r in need as well as supplies like bowls, leashes, collars, cages even s.times.Great resource if u have pets!!”

“American Legion Post 370 is located off 75th Street and Foster St. in Overland Park, KS. It is an old Post, well maintained and at the time of day I visited there were at least 40 Veterans. Membership means military service and spouses are referred to as Auxiliary Members. NEW FUTURE MEMBERS WELCOME. “I recently stopped in Story Botique when I was in town from Omaha. It is by far the classiest thrift store I have ever been in. It is spotlessly clean, prices are easy to find, and staff are friendly but not pushy.Story Botique is a little hard to find if you aren't familiar with this strip mall. Head for the north end of the mall towards the Catholic school. It is on the backside.”
“This is a great place to take stuff to recycle from the house! They have a large variety of stuff to buy at deeply discounted prices. The exceptions were a couch that looked brand new that was $125 and a men's dresser for $650 and a women's dresser for $750. Otherwise, there were couches for $50, chairs for $40. They also had cabinets, washers and dryers, tables, bookcases, hutches, paint, garden stuff, tile, carpet remnants, plates, bowls, lights, doors, toilets, tools and many more things!!! Of course, you never know what they will have so you gotta stop in.”

“Healing House made such a positive impact on my life. When I went in I was broken and beat down from many years of drug use, and I honestly didn't know how to function like a normal person anymore. They brought rules and structure to my everyday life. The leaders actually care about the people coming in the door. Not to say that are going to coddle you, they are very real and expect you to work an honest program. And I found in my time there that most everyone I knew including myself that actually wanted to get clean; did very well in the program. So thank you Healing House. You will always have a place in my heart.”

Call the staff and schedule a tour of the facility, Melissa Roach gives a great tour and offers visitors insights into safety. This tour is a must for Childcare facilities, and Emergency First Responders in order to share with the public.”
“I love the doggy daycare at Pawsperity. My Cavalier cannot wait to get in the door when we arrive. The staff are all so wonderful and helpful. I like the way the daycare is set up with play areas and the ability to go potty in a designated area. Also they are never over crowded with dogs like some other facilities. I also like that it supports the grooming project to train people for careers as groomers”

It was very simple to drop off my pet to get neutered, then pick him up in the afternoon. He was microchipped and they provided medicine with clear instructions.”
