“It's a little market with produce and breads and lots of frozen foods. They had these cheese cakes, that I bought every chance I got, birthdays and whatnot. Their Facebook page is very helpful as they get new products in. Highly recommend a visit. The prices are the best around for produce.”

Lot's of doggie treats and food. Huge bag's of seafood and assorted meals. Small but great place for value and a way to stretch your money.”

“Tried to check out the comic store here a couple of times, but its always closed. I did grab some baklava at the corner bakery, and it was fabulous. There's a Mexican restaurant at the opposite end facing hwy 27 I tried for lunch. We sampled the chorizo,pork,chicken and steak soft tacos. They tasted great but the meat was all ground and the texture made them all taste too close to the same. The salsa was great, and the house soup was to die for. I'd go back for the salsa,especially. The kitchen crew could not have been nicer people who were very welcoming.”
“Great little country store to come in and get a hot meal or just a really loaded cold cut sandwich. From breakfast through dinner they will have you fixed right up. Store has wide variety of food, home, and auto products available. Most of the staff are great.”
“My daughter and I had the Burritos with beans & rice. Quite honestly, although this restaurant is rather small and the menu is somewhat limited, the food turned out to be pretty good. At least, as far as the Somerset area is concerned. Obviously, having lived for a number of years in San Antonio, I much prefer the Mexican food there. But a person could do a lot worse than this particular restaurant.”
“Just so it's known, the only reason I gave Save-A-Lot 3 stars is because an ex-employee said he was let go because he clocked in late from a lunch break. I found it a little hard to believe and that's why 3 stars were given. I've edited my review. I love shopping here! Your products are great. God Bless and please be safe.”

“Had. Great experience called up there and spoke to someone in the deli. Asked if they had any chicken wings made and they said they were out. Then she went and looked and found a bag in the freezer and said if you give me 35 minutes she would make me 3 batches. It’s hard to find that good of service now days. She could have just said no but she didn’t.”

“Excellent place! I cant say enough about the service and also the food. The ppl are extremely nice and go out of their way to help you. I ordered a burger and it was excellent. It was gourmet and made to order. Its one of the best burgers in Somerset.”

“The brunette women that works in the afternoons is amazing she's funny and witty but also does her job well. Very good small country store I stop in almost everytime I go by there it's on my work route so why not go to a store where they make you smile and don't treat you like your going to steal something this place is a breath of fresh air!!!”
“Store was well kept and clean but some areas looked like a tornado sent through. Staff was friendly, I didn't get greeted when I first came in. Other than that, I enjoyed my visit and will be back!”
“I love this store. It's location Hwy 1247 is great,2min from my house. I go there every other day. If possible they will order what you need if there out of it. We buy out there orange cream twizzlers daily,we love them this is only dollar store that carries these. I buy all my household products here too! I buy clothes n medicine here also. I use to shop walmart,but I only shop dollar general Now! On Hwy 1247!! The cashiers are very friendly n helpful,they know me by name too! This is a great store n location is great!! “I have been in many DGs as well as other stores like. Lately though sople who work there do not even acknowledge your presence or are short with you. There was a young lady working tonight (God help me I cannot remember her name)March 3 2024, who was kind and courteous and genuine. She needs to be put in a management position post haste. She was the best. Thank you for your time.”
“I could find everything I needed easily enough. Except for men's deodorant, they moved it halfway across the store. From where all the other deodorant and Shampoo and, all that is.”
“Always clean and fully stocked. I use to get upset on days that I shopped and it was difficult to get your cart through the isles because of stock sitting in the floor.
After asking about it, I learned that it happens because of there’s little space for stock in the back and it is mostly due to corporate guidelines, not the management of the store itself.
Although still hectic it’s much more understandable that it’s not at the discretion of local management, these are corporate decisions.”

“This Dollar General is normally one of the cleaner and organized stores. The staff have been very friendly and helpful every time I have stopped by. I usually stop at this store everytime I am in Somerset and need to grab something quick. I can be in and out and have what I need in no time. Would suggest this store to anyone.”
