Canine Grooming

I have taken several of my fur babies to Amy for grooming and have always been extremely pleased with her work. She and her assistants are professional and obviously love animals. I never have problems scheduling appointments. My babies seem to like going to Amy's. They have never been afraid which means a great deal to me. She has reasonable prices and I have seen all types and sizes of dogs there. I cannot say enough about this excellent groomer. Other members of my family have gone to Amy's and would echo my remarks.

All three of my fur babies go to Dr Hestad and Dr Kaur, and have gone here for the past 8 years. The staff is very friendly and is always on top of everything I need.

My 13 year old cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes and Dr Kaur reached out after our appointment to make sure she was doing okay with her insulin.

The building is always very clean and I never worry about the quality of care we receive here.

Heads up, it's a decent amount of walking! But lots of information about the process and the rich history. Allan was a real fine tour guide, as he used to be a teacher and did a fantastic job answering questions. Very delightful. I was surprised there was vodka as part of the tasting! I really liked the bourbon ball, as I had never had one before. I wasn't the one that booked the tour and tasting so maybe it's well advertised but there was also cream, root beer, ginger ale to try too, which was delightful for someone that doesn't love bourbon (but loves the person they came here with to celebrate a big birthday). Their gift shop was huge! Long check out line.

Delicious pizza! We visited right after buffalo trace which was perfect. Everyone was so friendly. Very family friendly. 10/10 would return in a heartbeat. There is also a small grocery store which was helpful for us to grab a few items.

Jimmy John's

I do not know why it took me so long to start eating at Jimmy John's. But, now that I have, this place is becoming a frequent rotation in my schedule. They have a good rewards program, the food is always fresh, and the employees always seem happy. I miss Subway but the quality all the way around is so much better than our local Subway that's right down the street.

If you're reading this and have never tried Jimmy John's, you need to put down your electronic device and head to Jimmy John's!!

The menu is shrinking for the winter season. Looks like a really fun place for the summer.

I had a catfish sandwich and french fries and it was very good.

Great little place in the small town between Castle & Key and Woodford Distilleries. It is a very popular place with limited tables, so you might make a reservation. We were there for brunch and got lucky a table had cancelled so we were able to sit in the main dining room. They have a nice selection of bourbons and cocktails. I had the Derby Chick sandwich that was amazing. My wife had The Stave Smashburger which was also excellent. Service was great and will stop in again when in town.

We had a brisket melt with chips and a farmers market salad with added grilled chicken. Both were very good. The brisket melt had a little too much mustard. I would ask for it on the side next time. There were several large groups there having a good time, so it was a little loud. Parking can be challenging. Beautiful view of the river.
