“I'm a Holistic Nutrition Coach, and I live a whole, plant-based lifestyle, so it's hard to find raw nuts. Publix has a large dispenser with a variety of nuts. They also have organic frozen vegetables at a reasonable price. I love that it has all kinds of healthy food options, from freshly made meals to meal prepped for cooking also grab and go fruit bowls! I love it.”
“Price and selection above all! Also, the only place around that has my veggie meatballs (served with Christmas dinner in crockpot). My only complaint...ONE checker working verses four self-checkout. Sorry I already shop and bag myself...enjoy being checked out. But, minor irritation and not a deal-breaker.”
“We had a great time at this grocery store and its cafe. The prepared food is freshly made using local ingredients. They offer some unique coffee beverages and have alternative milks available for those with lactose intolerance. The grocery store itself is well-maintained, stocked, and has a wide variety of local products such as fruits, vegetables, meats, and cheeses. Freshly baked bread, pastries, and cold-pressed juices are also available. The outdoor space is perfect for relaxation or work. It’s a fantastic place to support the local community and feel good about knowing the origin of your food!”

“I found Anar Food Mart while searching for halal baby goat near Louisville, I wasn’t finding many options, but this place came through. They usually have fresh goat on Wednesday/Thursday, and the meat has been tender every time I’ve bought it. You can ask for custom cuts (shoulder, leg, or mixed) depending on what you’re cooking, and it’s around $13/lb.
One heads-up: the person at the meat counter doesn’t understand English super well, so just be patient and keep it simple (pointing helps). Now it’s my regular spot for goat meat.”
“The Crestwood Dollar General is immaculate. It should serve as an example for every single Dollar General in existence. It is well stocked, clean, organized, and the staff is helpful and friendly. This is an awesome store!!!”
“I really enjoy shopping at Fresh Market because the store is clean, the products are great, and the employees are always friendly. However, one issue I notice almost every time I visit is that there is usually only one cashier working the front registers. The cashier is often doing their best to keep up with a long line of customers, but it can be overwhelming. It also seems like managers are either slow to come help or aren’t available when extra assistance is needed, which causes unnecessary delays.
On my most recent visit, my cashier was Sabrina or something along those lines of a name and she was incredibly kind, patient, and professional despite being under so much pressure. She apologized multiple times for the wait and inconvenience, even though the situation was clearly beyond her control. She handled everything with a positive attitude and excellent customer service. I hope Fresh Market recognizes employees like Sabrina and considers scheduling more cashiers or providing faster management support during busy times. She deserves recognition for the way she handled a difficult situation.”
“Nice staff in the deli, fish n meats deli, and the Store Workers. I may say that I have been in this town for just a year now and I have found it very easy to navigate through the store and if I do need help with anything, and I can find a worker there has been very helpful. The Self Checkout Young Lady who always has colored hair has always been very helpful, extremely sweet young lady and very kind to me and a small conversation IF She’s not too busy. I always appreciate her kindness.”

“I love the new DG in town! It’s cleaner and more efficient than the old location. My go to is their Saturday deals with their in store coupons! I can generally get a whole laundry bundle for about $10!! It’s crazy and my stock pile is huge that I can give things to other family members!! They are definitely my go to!!”
“I love this location! It’s never too crowded, and the lines are always reasonable. The store is clean, well-organized, and everything on the grocery side is always fresh. The associates were friendly and helpful. I also used grocery pickup—it was fast, easy, and super convenient. I definitely recommend visiting this location!”
“The owner is a great guy. Speak English and Spanish very well. He knows his customers and the food was phenomenal. I got a massive burrito that I could barely hold packed with steak chorizo eggs and more. I wish I still had the picture. It's tucked away off of middle road and Allison Lane behind the taco truck but do yourself a favor and get tacos here instead. So much better”
“This is my favorite and a great smoke shop/bodega and I don't even smoke anything. I have known Henry for years and while he can be a little rough around the edges with people sometimes, at the end of the day he puts his everything and all into running this store on the days that he is working. I would gladly refer this store to anyone who needs a smoking product or just a simple drink or various household product that you might have ran out of if you live in that area of town. Richard who works on weekends is a great whole hearted guy as well. He will gladly help you find what you need and go out of his way to make sure the customer is satisfied. If you want a down to earth experience from a family owned business, I highly recommend that you shop here.”

I stopped by Tikal Placita when I needed some change for Laundry Mart — and while that wasn’t the main reason I visited, the experience was pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere had a relaxed, welcoming vibe. It wasn’t a long visit, but I appreciated how easy and accommodating everyone was. It’s definitely a spot I’d consider returning to for a meal or drink next time I’m in the area.”

“I started a new job and I drive by this Jay-C to and from work most days. It is a convenient stop for groceries, though it seems a little higher than Salem or Sellersburg. Still Jay-C is one of my favorite stores. I will have to try to get to know the staff better.”

“I love shopping at this location! Even though there are signs posted everywhere stating " No semi trucks," I do park my truck somewhere out of the way and only long enough to shop. I also appreciate that I have not been harassed in any way. I think it's due to the fact that I am always clean and courteous during my visits. I never park in the way or throw trash on the ground. I am also very cautious of vehicles and pedestrians, and always give them the right of way. My hope is that the store managers will become more tolerant of large vehicles in the future if everybody remains thoughtful of their surroundings.
I am personally very grateful for the tolerance I've been shown so far.”

“Let me tell you, Dr. Sam and Dr. Olivia are the best. I've been going to this pharmacy for years and these two pharmacists are so kind and knowledgeable. They even answer questions of customers who are not patrons of the pharmacy. The techs are amazing and they are so sweet to my dog Boseman when I bring him. They pharmacists take their jobs so seriously and they know their customer by name. The prices are reasonable and my prescriptions are always in stock. They always pick up the phone and are so courteous. I love that they moved the pharmacy near the front door to get in and out. I also use them for my vaccinations. I moved away from this area and there is a closer Walmart near my new place but I refuse to switch pharmacies.”
