About Dollar Car Rental - Cincinnati - Northern Kentucky International Airport
Dollar Car Rental at Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport offers budget-friendly options for travelers. Customers can save up to 15% off the base rate by pre-paying for their rental, with various deals and promotions available on their website. The service is known for affordability and straightforward pricing, making it a popular choice for those seeking economical rentals. The fleet includes clean, upscale vehicles, and customers appreciate the ease of after-hours drop-off, especially for early flights.
However, the experience can vary. Some customers have praised staff members, particularly one helpful employee who provided excellent assistance and saved money during their rental. Others have encountered slow service due to inexperienced staff, leading to long wait times—up to 45 minutes—especially during busy periods. Finding the correct rental car can also be confusing, as directions and signage are not always clear, requiring extra time to locate the vehicle. Additionally, some renters have noted issues like inconsistent tire pressure, which can affect driving.
The location's address on the confirmation email may be vague, causing some difficulty in reaching the rental area—customers should follow the instruction to go into the airport and proceed to the rental car area. The rental process is generally straightforward, with no pressure to purchase extra insurance, and the vehicles are well-maintained and clean. Re-fueling options include pre-pay, market-price lock-in, or self-filling upon return.
Overall, Dollar Car Rental at this location provides an affordable, no-frills service suitable for budget-conscious travelers, although wait times and staff training can impact the experience. Customers seeking premium service may prefer larger agencies with more staff and quicker service.

Check in and pickup of the vehicle was timely and professional. Return of the rental was during the time okay. Dollar did not do a good job with the turn-in causing frustration and undo stress with me with my credit card company and resolving the issue with Dollar. Nice car bad QC.
