“There are a lot of scams online these days when it comes to trying to buy a shipping container. A1 Portables is legit! Brian and his team were very helpful when I was looking to get a container for my business. Once I was ready to buy Brian had two new containers that had just arrived and they were even cheaper than previously quoted, so I bought both! Delivery was easy and the driver was super nice. The containers look almost brand new! Do not hesitate to contact A1 Portables if you need a container, you will not be disappointed! I highly recommend.”

“I called around to multiple mobile storage companies and I liked hippo crate the most. Michelle was very friendly and helpful, even offering to text me a picture of the crate filled up so I could better gage the size. We ended up have two crates delivered in Lexington, having them stored at the local facility for 4 weeks and relocated to Richmond. The entire process was easy to arrange and drop off/pickups happened quickly. They are small crates compared to some of the other brands but 2 crates offered just the right amount of space for us to pack our modest two bedroom home (minus the month long essentials we needed) I'd recommend them to anyone in the area”

“Went back today for my yearly storage and the elder guy, whom I met last year, was on the other end of the phone. He actually reserved a small unit for me and if I do not remember correctly, last year, I had to show up in person to get it. I feel so grateful for customer service like this. Upon showing up to rent it, the guy was even willing to show me what the unit looked like and it definitely was the size I was looking for. It is just these little things that go a long way.”

“Good people. Fast loading . If you are driving semi truck with 53 feet trailer don’t scare about backing. There’s enough room and they will guide you, just make sure to call them after you enter the building. The only and easy way to get here or out is from I-75 to US60 to E 7th street. Just take the two lanes to make a wide right turn.”

Prices are great and all units are climate control owner are very cool and nice. “If I could post zero stars I would . Larry is rude!!!! He is not helpful at all ! I’m calling management everyday on him until something is done. I moved out 12/30/2025 and they are charging me for another month?? DO NOT GO THERE!!!! Saying because I left a $10 lock on there , they will change me $150 for the month. Instead of calling and asking about my move out date they just excepted for me to pay it !!!! DO NOT GO THERE! if the move out paper explains the requirements then I would understand! Sending this to collect is NOT RIGHT And Larry said that’s what he would do instead of cutting the lock as I’m on the phone with him.
Edit - They fixed it! They allowed me to come take my lock and didn’t charge me for that month ! Thank yall for being understanding !! I really appreciate it”
“Excellent source for DIY packing for a move. The gentleman at the Distillery District store went above and beyond to assist me in making decisions about what to buy. Everything he recommended made packing up my home so much less stressful. The glass and dish packs help you to pack like (or better than) a professional. He even went another store to bring an item I needed back to the location most convenient for me.”
