All of the staff and both of the vets have done an excellent job in making us feel welcome, answering all of our questions, and addressing our concerns. Our oldest golden retriever is in the best health he’s ever been in thanks to Dr. O Grady and Dr. Townsend. Recently, we had to put one of our animals down, and Dr. O Grady was a saint in the process. She handled it in such a way that we knew it was the right decision and she was very comforting and supportive. The staff even sent us a condolences card that we appreciated so much. Anchorage Animal Hospital
12317 Old Lagrange Rd, LouisvilleI felt that my pups were in good hands with the friendly staff at Livewell Animal Hospital and Dr. Thompson. This was the 1st vet who swabbed my pup to see what bacteria, etc was growing on her skin. The doc took his time (I didn't feel like he was rushing through things, as most do, in my experience.) explaining the course of action and why. He also seemed to have more knowledge about dog foods and diet (most doctors are not) than any other vet I have been to previously. Infact, he has been the only vet that has spoken to me about our pups diet. I'm very grateful, being new in town, that my search for a new vet led me to Dr. Thompson and Livewell Animal Hospital.

The Highland Dog
1962 Roanoke Ave, LouisvilleAs an overly protective dog mom, I've always struggled with finding the right boarding facility. Hands down, this is the best place! They are so caring, kind, and totally focused on the dogs. What really blows me away is that they welcome and encourage you to send beds, toys, and treats to make their stay a little easier. The first time we boarded, my pups didn't eat much. The second time, I wanted to try a different approach and provided bowls for their food and water and it went better! The fact that I could do that tells you everything you need to know about this place. They genuinely care about creating a happy experience for the dogs. They have great outdoor space for potty breaks and play time. And they take lots of pictures every day so you can see your little ones. The rooms are spacious and quiet since they are upstairs. I am eternally grateful to have found Highland Dog and have deep appreciation for the caring, wonderful team that works there.

Our dog Honey (Mini Goldendoodle) went to basic training then returned a few months later for advanced training. I will not say it was easy leaving our girl either time. However, it’s so worth it! Bob always answers every question leaving you with no doubts or worries. Thanks to Carla the facility is clean, secure and pet friendly. Bob also has many years of experience, he enjoys doing his job. Our family is over the moon with Honeys training. Honestly, I wish Kentuckiana K-9 had a Masters program. ♥️

Rosie Dane Dog Training
6314 Bardstown Rd, LouisvilleWe loved our puppy class at Rosie Dane's. Tyler is an awesome and caring trainer who helped us turn our wild dalmatian-pit mix Pongo into a dog that listens and follows instructions. More importantly he turned us from clueless owners of a new puppy into decent handlers so our dog actually knows what we expect. We also trusted Tyler to take Pongo for a 10 day board and train while we were traveling and were extremely happy with the care and results. We plan to do the adult class next. Come take a class at Rosie Dane's, you won't regret it.

Top Dog Training, LLC
3305 Barbour Ln, LouisvilleSpoiled by our first dog experience, we adopted a new puppy (Petra) that proved to be quite the handful. As much as I hoped for a quick fix, John taught us that the solution wasn’t a magical formula, but understanding and raising our new family member for a lifetime. He has worked with us extensively, and has helped us navigate several twists and turns (including severe anxiety when she was away from us). The entire journey he has adapted to what Petra needed, and he continues to work with us as we watch her make steady incremental improvements. He probably teaches us more than he teaches her since we are usually the ones messing up! Overall, if you want a trainer who truly cares about the relationship between you and your dog, we highly recommend John.

We got a delicious iced Chai and a heavy handed single scoop of ice cream from the coffee truck during the Bourbon, Brunch, Bluegrass event. The Chai was smooth and rich, not overpowering with sweeteners and the single scoop ice cream was closer to a single pint. I'm picking up what Abol Coffee is putting down... and then scarfing it.

3rd Turn Brewing
10408 Watterson Trail, LouisvilleI met up with a bunch of friends here on a week night e. The first thing to know is it is drinks only. They don't serve food. However you can go 2 doors down the street and get a sandwich at Boone's Deli, which I did. Some friends had a pizza delivered. As for the drinks, you can get tasters of any of their drinks. I tasted the bourbon sushi and the Orange Deeamin sushi. I went with the Orange Slushi which was great. As for the service, they didn't have anyone walking around while we were there. We had to walk up to the bar to get our drinks, which was fine. This 3rd Turn Brewing location is fine for just sitting a talking with a drink. I kind of wish they did serve food. I've also gone to the 3rd Turn Brewing in Oldham county. I definitely prefer that one as it is much more entertaining.
