A Diamond In the Ruff
604 W Lexington Ave, WinchesterI took my Maddy may this week it was her very 1st visit to a groomer she is an aussie doodle 7 months old and desperately needed a cut. She is well groomed at home but I can only do so much and so I took her in and the ladies went above and beyond I felt very comfortable leaving her with them it took about 2 hours and when I came to get her she looked amazing and was a very happy puppy. They said she did great and I am looking forward to using them in the future and recommending them to people I know!

I have to add an update I took our australian shepherd in with the aussie doodle this time for a trim up and again I was so incredibly happy with how it all turned out both puppies look amazing

Thank you all so much for which you all did for little Sparky a week ago Monday when he had to be put to sleep because he was having stroke and thank you for what you did for all little taco when she was you know got sick it was good to sleep a year and a half ago somewhere else but we didn't have a choice our tax Simone you take care of him and our little Yorkie Shih Tzu Karma you all are wonderful with her! You want a good veterinarian go to the Winchester Animal Clinic they're awesome!!

Boonesboro Animal Clinic
1500 Boonesboro Rd, WinchesterAs a child, we took our cat there. As a grown up, I continue this tradition. All of our cats and dogs go there. Even with this Coronavirus around, we needed to say goodbye to one of our dogs. They were able to take him in to examine him from the car, and returned with him so I could say goodbye in the car.

Stonnie Dennis Dog Training & Boarding
1800 Cabin Creek Rd, WinchesterStonnie has an excellent program for novice dog trainers. We signed up for the 1 year program with training at Stonnie’s kennel. He has a comprehensive video library and a complete outline of his system. We started the program shortly after we brought Rip home and worked daily with him. The daily journaling really helped me gauge his progress and Stonnie would give his advice when we had challenges. By the time he was ready for the boarding portion, he was well on his way to being calm, attentive and polite. We really enjoyed visiting the farm and Stonnie. He’s a straight shooter with great training stories. Rip’s weeks with Stonnie really polished him off. Lots of compliments from neighbors on how well behaved he is. Training with Stonnie was a great investment.

Valkyrie K-9 Training
525 Old Ruckerville Rd, WinchesterWe have taken one of our LGDs (Anatolian) here for training twice. She has a higher than normal prey drive for an LGD and we really needed her to be able to focus as we have a large farm with other dogs and animals. Her first training was for basic commands. And she came back to us with immediate response to all commands except "leave it" (she was only a year old and we were not expecting to have her prey drive corrected completely). So she went s second time closer to 2 years of age when she needed to really sharpen her focus and learn to leave the other animals alone on the farm. She came back a whole new dog! She no longer lunges for the chickens and ducks and when a chicken got into her area, she merely just picked it up and immediately dropped it when we saw her with the chicken and gave her the command to leave it. Highly impressed with the training here. Would highly recommend!!!

Potato soup and tomato soup were fabulous! Ordered the gf pizza and it was the best cauliflower crust I’ve had in a very long time! Thank you for having options for us gluten free people…we will stop every time we pass through ? I highly recommend!

1120 Bypass Rd, WinchesterThis little drive thru place was recommended by a friend and since I was driving through the area, I thought I’d check it out. I got an iced blondie with toasted marshmallow, caramel drizzle, and a vanilla cold foam and it was delicious. And not badly priced at all! My husband ordered just a regular coffee with cream, sugar, and French vanilla and they got the flavor just right on the first try. We’ll definitely be back when driving through the area.

Waterfront Grill and Gathering
220 Athens Boonesboro Rd, WinchesterWe came here for a comedy show on January 10th 2026. Everything was fine with the show. And I really enjoyed it.
We cannot seem to get a drink or place a food order even though I went straight to the bar.
They need to hire a 2nd waiter or something. This isn't acceptable. My wife and I sat for 45min just to get someone to wait on us and then they gave away our drinks to someone else.
Please hire a 2nd person to act as waiter for events like this. The poor woman was struggling. I feel bad for her.
Edit: we did finally get our drinks. If we get any food I will update the review.
Edit 2: I am bumping up the review to a 4 star my whiskey sour and her pixie martini are both excellent. The onion rings and Beer cheese platter was perfect.
If you decide to come to the comedy show I would reccomend you come early to get your drinks/food ordered. Otherwise you will have to wait till after the show to enjoy your meal.
Still a great venue and I am looking forward to the next show!
