“After going to the Jeep dealership, I was told that I not only needed to repair the entire racket pinion, but the parts needed to repair my wheel alignment was not going to be covered under my extended warranty. We immediately called Chris, the Mechanic, at Mavis Tires and Brakes on Essen in Baton Rouge! He informed me that the entire racket pinion did not need to be repaired. The only part that needed to be repaired was the bent interod. We immediately set up an appointment to get the part ordered and to get my car in to be repaired.
When I tell you Chris, the Mechanic, was knowledgeable, transparent, real and immediately repaired my vehicle. This man is truly honest, will not just follow the crowd like others, is very ethical and works with integrity and we appreciated that from the bottom of our heart. Everything was set up quickly. Chris, the Mechanic, is so efficient and is about business! He kept us informed every step of the way when it came to my car and we can't say thank you enough!

“Original review:I scheduled an oil change and tire rotation appointment for 1:30 on 8/17. I received 4 confirmation texts and emails about my appointment at 1:30…an hour later my car was still never taken to the back. I took off work for this and not a single employee gave me an update while I was waiting. I understand being busy, but communicate that with the customer or maybe give a heads up when I get there that you were running behind. I asked for my keys and left.
Updated review: Brad the regional manager texted me the next day and immediately apologized for the lack of communication. They were short staffed for my appointment and he found a way to right the situation,”

“I had a blowout on a Saturday night. Not only an inconvenient time, but it was also my spare tire that blew because my back tire was in really bad shape and I was planning to get a new one Monday. I saw this place opened at 7 am Sunday, one of only a few tire shops open and this one opened the earliest. I called and a man quoted me $40 and I said “deal!” and was on my way. When I got there with my four year old, he told me we could sit in the car, which I was sort of thankful for because the neighborhood looked rough. But I’m from Brookstown so that wasn’t a huge deal to me lol. As he got ready to replace my tire, I asked how much the spare would be to replace, not planning to replace it the same day but sometime in the next few weeks. He thought for a second and told me he’d do $50 for both! $10 to replace my spare! I absolutely said yes and they had it done within 20 minutes. Super convenient, super friendly, definitely will be back. Note that they only take cash, but there is an atm inside.”

“Recently purchased a full set of new tires and one of the Lug nuts broke while putting on the spare before bring it in so that had to be replaced. Any questions or concerns I have, I address them with Mr. Robert, who’s very nice, and he makes sure my car is taken care of. The staff are also nice and work as quickly as possible. I only go to this particular Firestone now. The only thing I don’t like is having to wait, but that’s anywhere you go to have work done these days so it’s to be expected.”
“Came this past weekend from out of town for the lsu game & I stopped at the gas station next door. As I was leaving my car decided to break down in the gas station lot, 4 of these very kind workers walked over and helped me figure out what was wrong with my car. Even though they were closing in 20 minutes they still went above and beyond to do the best they could to get me back on the road and managed to do so even without having the part to fix my car! We tried to offer them some money for the help and they refused all they wanted to hear was go tigers!! This place saved my vacation & my car made it the rest of the weekend & 6 hours home. “Wonderful, quick service. Needed 1 tire due to puncture. Was able to match it up and gave me a deal because it wasn't exactly the same but was the same height and such. Told me within a week if there is any problems come back. Well 1 week to the day I noticed vibration in my car, looked at my tires and it was cracked all over, limped it to the shop and they replaced it no fuse. What so ever! Great service!”
