“Love this place! Anthony is a gentleman and is welcoming. I love the book nook set up, and there are so many treasures to find! It truly is a wonderful, neighborhood business that gives back to the community..”
“Cassandra was a wonderful tour guide. She texted in advance of tour to make sure I knew where exactly to meet her. She was very knowledgeable about the cemetery, the history, and the many of the burial sites at Metairie Cemetery.”

“Seeing a play in this historic, intimate theatre is a great experience. The set design and acting are always excellent. Most recently I viewed The Lehman Trilogy, the first play of the 2025-26 season, a play that I knew little about before attending the theatre. Three exceptional actors played out the parts of the Lehman family, from their immigration to the US in 1847, through the growth of the family business, to its end in 2008. I look forward to the remaining four plays this season which ends in June 2026. I highly recommend this production and this theatre to locals and visitors to the city.”
“Since moving into the area, this has quickly become one of my favorite places to stop for a beer.
The beer selection is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you’re getting. Everything I’ve tried has been well-crafted and enjoyable. Beyond the beer, the atmosphere is what really stands out. The bartenders are friendly, welcoming, and make you feel like a regular even if it’s only your second or third visit.
The crowd is always great, the conversations are enjoyable, and it’s the kind of place where it’s easy to relax and spend a few hours. We have thoroughly enjoyed every visit and will definitely be back many more times.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for great beer and a welcoming atmosphere.”
“I’ve had nothing but a great experience here! The staff is so nice and friendly! It’s so affordable and I would recommend! Turkey, my dog, was found on the street with a broken leg and they took her in and amputated her leg. The staff remember her every time she comes in and it’s so welcoming! Turkey may have a different review, but I personally love it here!”
“Love this place - they may have crazy business hours, but their assortment of reusable materials and hardware is second to none in the Greater New Orleans area. I never leave empty handed. From an old mason jar full of mixed screws and hooks to antique French doors, there's bound to be a treasure for every patron waiting around any of its numerous corners and crevices. With incredibly reasonable (sometimes negotiable) pricing, I make an effort to stop at The Green Project before heading to those big box hardware stores for most accoutrements. If you like the atmosphere of a hardware store flea market and don't mind getting a little dirty while digging, you'll love it. The staff are always laid back and ready to assist in any way they can.”
“I went to a training held in one of their rooms. It was gorgeous, rich in history and intentionality behind each piece, not only in the exhibits but also the space itself, reflecting the importance of recognizing the African American and African diaspora experiences.
Additionally, it is very well equipped for meetings, and the staff is attentive and thoughtful.”

“A fantastic operation underway to remediate and preserve this patch of land. There is an abundance of native and a few naturalized plants, but they seem to be keeping up with the more destructive invasives.
Take the time to take this hike. The sounds of the city seem to disappear in here, the occasional waft of fresh earth smell passes in the wind, it's quite enlivening. We came across several snakes and it was a comfort to know they're just chilling in a safe space. ??”

“We took the cooking class with Chef Dee and it was AMAZING! Even as a seasoned home cook, I learned some tips and tricks that I’m using each day now that I’m back home. This was a wonderful experience, and I recommend it to anyone - team building, first date, family outing - the Chef and her Sous Chef are encouraging, helpful, and inclusive. Everyone present had a job to do and there was a lot of laughter and fun. We sat down to eat our meal and it was the best food I’ve ever had.
Best part, we got the recipes to bring home! We’ve made our dishes for Thanksgiving and plan to cook them again for Christmas. Friends and family are amazed at our culinary skills and we fight over the leftovers!
A great way to spend the afternoon, and the experience is well-documented with photos so we were able to just experience the fun and learning. 100% will come again! Money well-spent and an afternoon we will always remember.
Thank you Chef Dee and Sous Chef Candy.”
“Son of a Saint is doing truly life-changing work for young boys in New Orleans by providing mentorship, guidance, and opportunities that shape their future. The impact this organization has on the community is powerful and inspiring.”
“Wonderful trip for our fifth graders! They enjoyed learning all about the various animals on the farm and Farmer Steph was amazing showing all of my adventurous boys how to forage in the wilderness by finding huckleberries! She even broke off a branch and explained to us how to grow our own at home using the branch as a starter! The play space and picnic tables were great for our lunch and recess time! Very highly recommend for an elementary field trip!”
“A friend requested that I meet her and her 15month baby girl at the We Play Center for a play date with my 15 month daughter. The Center was a perfect play date experience for my daughter as well as for me. She played with other children around her age in an inviting setting with plenty of toys to interact with her. She choose to explore with the other children which gave my friend and I time have conversation amongst ourselves and other caregivers. All free of charge. I will be visiting we play Center again.”
“Though I have only recently started being more involved with the Better Future Program, their work and expertise is immense and much needed here and now. The aspirations, creativity, impact, and potential are immense, I cannot wait to see all which is done and brought about by these people, by us. I encourage everyone who seeks a better world for them and those they love to join this program and act for it.”
“Love the place it was open to all. You can tell that’s they help out with issues or people in the area that needed help. The church was wide open so you are able to go and pray. The area was clean. Well lit also. The “giving thanks” area was also something to speak about with all the families giving thanks for everything. It was something great to see.”
“I used them for their donation pickup and donated a couch and it was extremely quick and easy and they had great communication throughout the process. Picked up the day after I called them, and I was very grateful.”

“I volunteered for 3 months with this association. It was an incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone. “I had my front wheel stolen after recently buying new parts for it and I was bummed. Came to RUBARB and found a wheel, tube, and tire for soooo cheap. It was amazing. While I was there I saw at least five different people working on their bikes and collaborating, men, women, queer people, POC. It was kinda beautiful, I want our society to be more structured like this. Community driven, affordable, accessible, leveraging recycled materials.”
“Put this charity on your must donate list comparable to the salvation army or the red cross. They are doing a lot for the homeless in New Orleans. They need your help today.”
“I love the music and audience - memories are always great especially when those days aren't so perfect because we live in the perfect world. Before time you probably know who I was before - still dreamy ❤️ - bros ? and siss ? forever.”

“Dr. Brennin Brown, Psychiatrist here, is amazing. Best Psychiatrist I've had since seeing Psychiatrists, going back to 2008. Also this facility is Great. No complaints.”
“The most awesome community for differently able people. The staff is amazing and caring, highly resourceful and professionally knowledgeable in adaptive workouts. There is also music therapy, adaptive yoga, and many social event geared toward those with disabilities. $$comparable if not cheaper than most gyms where you are a credit card number. A great place to belong so you are not alone .”
“Fantastic events during NOWFE week. From Wine Dinners, labs, Vinola to the Grand Tasting. Phenomenal wines and cuisine to match. With the addition of the Culinary Awards, the food scene is stellar.”

They helped my mother with her lights!
God Bless You!”
“Had a semi loaded for delivery here. Not a terribly difficult place to back into but can be a little tricky just getting there if you follow GPS. They emailed directions and it was easy as pie! Leaving them here for anyone else who needs them!”
