“I ordered a small 1/2 & 1/2 which is 2 fried shrimp and 2 fried fish with fries hush puppies and a side salad. It was amazing the workers were very friendly it didn’t take long for my food. The store had a good variety of stuff in if you are around the area you should definitely stop in and check them out.”

“Came to oakdale twice for work and this recent time I lived off the food there. Honestly as crazy as it sounds the best food in that town is at this gas station. It’s family owned and super clean! The staff is all super nice. While I was there I had their catfish (I can honestly say it’s the best I had and the best in town. I went to another catfish place and it wasn’t near as good) also had hunts brothers pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni! To die for! They randomly had peach cobbler and my god it was the best desert I ever had. Went back for more and they were sold out. I can’t say enough great things about this place! 10/10!”

“Only in Louisiana can you get the best fresh cooked hot food in a gas station.. Potato wedges were off the chain fresh. Still crisp. I never get that out of any other hot box.”

“I want to write a review for The Pit Stop, but I really don't even know where to begin... If you know, you know! We came to The Pit Stop after a funeral near by based an a very strong recommendation from my sister. I take those seriously! So, we were already emotionally exhausted, but this place was a breath of fresh air. At first glance, one might think it is just a gas station, but as soon as you walk through the front doors and the smell of that kitchen collides with your face... Let's just say it's breath taking.The place was packed, however, there were still plenty of tables and the kitchen staff were amazing. I thought it was going to take a lifetime to get any food out of the kitchen, again I was wrong. I ordered the double cheeseburger and added an egg w/mayo. Honestly, I don't remember the fries because upon taking the first bite of that dang burger, I had something of a spiritual moment (think John and the book of Revelation).It disappoints me that I can only give The Pit Stop 5 stars. Lord willing and the creek don't rise... I will be back, and next time I'll be mentally prepared for what I'm walking into. Thanks guys!”
