“BERNARD’S CAR CARE
We live just a few blocks away, which obviously is very convenient. Doesn’t matter though b/c I’d walk 30 miles to get my car fixed over at Bernard’s Car Care as they are Very Good, Honest, and Transparent from start to finish (I know honesty and transparency as I am an experienced human lie detector - call it career experience) but most of all Bernard’s Car Care is Affordable. I am telling you from years of experience in using them as I’ve had everything done to my cars over the years from a simple brake tags, pulling nails & screws out my tires, charging my A/C w/ freon to extremely complex engine work and they have never, ever let me down. Having a very reliable mechanic in the neighborhood reminds me of how things used to be growing up old school. It sure is quite refreshing! This reminds me I’ve got to call Cris to schedule my Camry to get new fans installed. So if you’re needing any kind of car care service see Chris and tell him that Randal Nicoll sent you b/c I promise you will not regret it. Stay Safe and keep Motoring.”
“I’ve recently discovered this food store near my house and wish I’d found it long ago. Great poboys, fried chicken and other food for super reasonable prices. My favorite so far is their shrimp poboy”
“My 3 time here & every time I’ve come I’ve had a pleasant experience. Came in with no appointment and had 3 guests with before me and still was accommodated and received speedy service. Bryan assisted me with putting air in my tires, locating the issue, and providing me with a reasonable resolution. Harry was very friendly and worked fast & efficiently. Super happy with the service, will definitely be back, and highly recommend !”
“Honest mechanic, called to get pricing on something they couldn’t do and they referred me elsewhere, gave me a couple different mechanics to try, didn’t want to charge me for something they couldn’t help with. I’ll always recommend them moving forward.”
“Little dated setup with regards to their pumps; I was visiting from DFW for a NFL game. Overall ok process on a Sunday night which I thought would be dead but actually fairly busy. I would be curious how backed up this place might be during the week. But Costco is always great. Hope they expand their presence in LA. I was kind of shocked when I realized there was only 3 locations in the state!”
“When it's super busy I pass. Fortunately I get gas early enough that I can go back another time. Last trip the gas was the same price as Walmart. Disappointing that you pay for a membership when you can get it at the sister store for the same price.”
“This is the only place from which we buy gas. The City of Kenner screwed the pooch when some genius messed up Williams Blvd. I have a good idea as to WHY they removed the turning lane and cut most of the Left turns. Unfortunately, it makes it harder for The People to get to businesses, such as STAR.”

“I can only speak about the gasoline. They have all 3 grades of non-ethanol gas. And since one of our cars is a 1994 that requires premium, this place is must. Prices are decent too.”
“What I don't like about this Sam’s location is the lack of traffic control for getting gas. They need to make the lanes on the side nearest the store exit only - do not enter signs on the pumps. Or at least make it a one way.The Store is very nice. Validates the Sam’s card, clean, friendly and helpful when requesting help.”
“I'm hopped up on about 19 cocktails so take this with a grain of salt, but the meat pie and fried chicken had absolutely no reason to be as good as it was. The pie was delicious and well seasoned while the fried chicken breast was crunchy and juicy. So good I got back to my hotel and had to write this. Service was super nice too.”
“Some people shouldn't pump their own gas, but such is life... hint, you're always in a line waiting, finding your card and payment should already have happened ??”

“Besides the very good price on gas, the new owner has really upgraded this place, and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. The recent renovations, especially the bathrooms, are fantastic, the cleanest and best-kept bathrooms I’ve seen at a gas station or any public space really.”
“I had to renew my brake tag for my vehicle. The young man that assisted me was very helpful and efficient. It did not take long and I was in and out of there in no time at all!!!”

“This Discount Zone is actually a good convenience store. They sell snacks n cold drinks, & there is a fried food menu that you can order food from as well. They have gas, and an air pump, and tobacco products, and t-shirts, & BONGS & PIPES!! Hahaha
They do not sell lottery. That's why they only get 4 stars.”

“Super friendly staff, called abput some vape stuff i needed, staff was super courteous and helped me with everything i asked about. Definitely check this place out!”
“Fleur de Lis has been taking care of my car tires for years. When I get a flat, they either repair the flat or change the tire. Most places don't check to see whether the tire can just be repaired, so I appreciate the willingness to save me the cost of an unnecessary new tire.”
“Had to stop and get gas very inexpensive. I didn’t have any problems after so it looks like the gas was worth it. If it was raining, I’d probably give it four stars because there’s no cover from the gas to the store.”

“I've been going to Ro-Bears Snowballs for years, and it's still one of my favorite places for a sweet treat. They have a huge variety of flavors, generous portions, and the snowballs are always delicious and refreshing. The service is friendly and quick, and the quality has remained consistent over the years. It's a local favorite for a reason, and I definitely recommend it!”

“This is a clean gas station and well lit. The customer service representative, Troy Fitz, is a pleasure to interact with. He's very respectful, polite and nice. I would go there just to see Troy. That's how inviting and nice he is.”
