“Seeing a play in this historic, intimate theatre is a great experience. The set design and acting are always excellent. Most recently I viewed The Lehman Trilogy, the first play of the 2025-26 season, a play that I knew little about before attending the theatre. Three exceptional actors played out the parts of the Lehman family, from their immigration to the US in 1847, through the growth of the family business, to its end in 2008. I look forward to the remaining four plays this season which ends in June 2026. I highly recommend this production and this theatre to locals and visitors to the city.”

“I’ve had nothing but a great experience here! The staff is so nice and friendly! It’s so affordable and I would recommend! Turkey, my dog, was found on the street with a broken leg and they took her in and amputated her leg. The staff remember her every time she comes in and it’s so welcoming! Turkey may have a different review, but I personally love it here!”

“Love this place - they may have crazy business hours, but their assortment of reusable materials and hardware is second to none in the Greater New Orleans area. I never leave empty handed. From an old mason jar full of mixed screws and hooks to antique French doors, there's bound to be a treasure for every patron waiting around any of its numerous corners and crevices. With incredibly reasonable (sometimes negotiable) pricing, I make an effort to stop at The Green Project before heading to those big box hardware stores for most accoutrements. If you like the atmosphere of a hardware store flea market and don't mind getting a little dirty while digging, you'll love it. The staff are always laid back and ready to assist in any way they can.”

“I went to a training held in one of their rooms. It was gorgeous, rich in history and intentionality behind each piece, not only in the exhibits but also the space itself, reflecting the importance of recognizing the African American and African diaspora experiences.
Additionally, it is very well equipped for meetings, and the staff is attentive and thoughtful.”

“Love the place it was open to all. You can tell that’s they help out with issues or people in the area that needed help. The church was wide open so you are able to go and pray. The area was clean. Well lit also. The “giving thanks” area was also something to speak about with all the families giving thanks for everything. It was something great to see.”

“Though I have only recently started being more involved with the Better Future Program, their work and expertise is immense and much needed here and now. The aspirations, creativity, impact, and potential are immense, I cannot wait to see all which is done and brought about by these people, by us. I encourage everyone who seeks a better world for them and those they love to join this program and act for it.”

“The female manager at the store was very helpful today in making sure I was able to purchase a full set of glassware even though one of the glasses had a missing sticker. The cashier didn’t want to ring it up and had a bad attitude from the moment I walked up with all of my glassware. I even said hello to her and she didn’t respond. When she told me she couldn’t ring up the glass I told her it had happened before and they told me to go to the back to get a tag for it. She said no, she can’t do it and I went to the back anyway and asked for one. The manager said that would be fine and she would ring it up so I could have the complete set. Thanks to the manager, who is always friendly and professional, I was able to get the set. This is not the first time we’ve experienced the bad attitude of the cashier. She should not be on the cash registers with an attitude like that. It’s unnecessary and unprofessional, as well as unprovoked. Thank goodness for the manager who always makes our shopping experience at Goodwill a great one!”

“This is a magical place which has been a port in the storm for my family. It is wonderful to know that your children are happy, safe, and loved everyday. I have complete trust in the staff and as a board member, I can attest to the quality of the thoughtful leadership that creates a supportive and accountable community. My children are happy well adjusted kids and I attribute that to the care they have received while at Abeona. The teachers are thoughtful careful caring folks who have continued to provide an amazing environment despite the pandemic and the many challenges they have faced. I would not hesitate to recommend this place.”

“I loved being at Waldo Burton. I was there from 1978 until I graduated in 1988. Mr Stroup, Me. Jorge, Mr. Fred, Mr A. Grimes, Mrs. Waymon were my counselors. At a young age they installed integrity, Loyalty, tolerance among other values that remain with me to this day. I was given a foundation to be independent and compassionate towards others. I joined the Marines after graduation from Waldo Burton and remain friends with the counselors and still visit from time to time till this very day.”
