“Great shop for those who love paper, pens, ink, and related items. Very helpful staff and owner. We stayed in New Orleans for a week, and I was drawn to visit the store, every single day, thinking of new small things that I would like for myself, and is gifts for other people. The owner Patrick was a pleasure to meet, and his vision, and that of the staff Like James gave me inspirations.”

“Absolutely loved their selection of unique NOLA shirts, they're levels above and beyond in terms of quality and design from the stores on the main drag in the FQ. The prices were fair and they had a decent selection of items. Worth getting off of the main street and over to Royal for better quality gift shops like this one.”

“For a novice like myself, it was overwhelming when entering this store. But as I made my way through the aisles, it quickly became clear what each section was for. If you don't know why you're there when you go, then you will definitely know at least 20 different projects that you will want to try!”

“This is an adorable weird little store! They have hundreds if not thousands of limoges, which are these little porcelain boxes. The woman working there was extremely friendly and told us that all of them were hand painted porcelain and shipped from Italy. Each piece is unique and they have them in everything you could imagine, from cats and dogs to vegetables and even chairs! You could spend hours looking at these. They're all around $140-225 because of the detail that goes into making them, so we left without buying any but we were obsessed with this shop”

“In a world of everything the same, this is one of those unique shops from an earlier era. The Black Butterfly, a long time French Quarter family-owned store, is worth a visit just to see.”
