“The best little Vintage jewelry store in the FQ. They have the most amazing collection of vintage jewelry & hard to find collectible's, something for everyone. They have a very good eye. It's always hard to choose here they have so many great things. Hubby buys me a lovely vintage piece of jewelry here almost every year. This is the first place we visit for speciality vintage jewelry & gifts. Will Return.”

“You can spend 15 minutes or 2 hours admiring wonderful art, fancy jewelry or amazingly crafted furniture all owned by a piece of history. I loved all the Churchill pieces during this visit. Skipped the jewelry but enjoyed watching the video on how to unlock a secret safe from the 17th century. What I like the most is that all the items are constantly being sold and rotated out. One piece you admire in that moment may be being sold or being moved to an auction somewhere else. Fun and FREE. So if you are walking and shopping on Royal, in the French Quarter stop in.”

“Unique furniture with a trendy style. A little pricey, but a great selection. The art was fun and unusual. I could spend hours taking my time and looking at every piece like it's a gallery. The location is great and easy to get to.”

“What fantastic customer service along with beautiful jewelry. I purchased a bracelet last month that unfortunately broke. I don't believe this is common as I purchased one for my sister also who has had no problems. I contacted them and was immediately issued a replacement bracelet at no cost. I am so pleased with such amazing response especially in these times of routinely poor customer service. I will be back in New Orleans in October and plan to purchase more of their gorgeous pieces. I highly recommend.”

“I searched forever for pantry doors and was told about Strip Ease by my designer. When I was unable to find what I wanted, I was told that I could get my doors cypress doors custom made. What a great choice! The shop was easy to work with and my well made doors were completed in a timely manner. I knew I would have to wait a little because the shop is always busy, but it was so worth the wait. I hope to use them again for custom made front doors.”

“One of the coolest most amazing antique shops we have ever been in! Staff is absolutely fantastic and obviously love what they do . Everyone remembers you it is beyond impressive! Owners personally took time to show us their third floor because of their passion we found some true antique artwork in 2 late 1700's French pedestals. We are so happy thank you guys again it was such a great pleasure meeting you. If you come to the black hills please contact us. Thank you !Dan and Angie Fisher”

“Uptown went the extra mile! I had a piece from France drop-shipped straight to him. He signed for it, restored it, and patiently held on to it until I could coordinate nearby Aguilar's upholstery to pick it up at his shop. Props to both companies for working so well together and being willing to save me a trip.”

“Stopped by a few days ago to buy a "red" Fiestaware cup and saucer I saw in the window walking by the previous night. Being in a similar category of collectibles, the guy running the store showed me some uranium glass Mardi Gras beads, which I didn't even know existed. Super cool find for a nuclear engineer like me! He was very knowledgeable on the history of these items. I even went back the next day to buy a few more! Huge inventory of other items too. Highly recommend stopping by here next time you're in the French Quarter!”

“This is the place in the French Quarter to get your actual unique/one-of-a-kind oddities. Most others are selling mass produced gift shop products. Dark Matter is legit.”

“Simon is a talented artist and his artwork found throughout New Orleans is instantly recognizable. He created a beautiful customized art piece for our wedding. Instead of a standard guestbook, we asked our guests to leave us a message on the sign. We will treasure this piece forever! Recommend coming by, checking out some of his art, and chatting with him if he is around!”

“Absolutely adorable. We stopped in the shop while strolling magazine street before brunch. I instantly fell in love with this fantastic shop selling lots of lovely little things for the home, textiles, an incredible selection of soaps and candles mixed with fun, different, beautiful vintage and antique items and many many things imported from France all in a beautiful building. I look forward to visiting again and buying online in the meantime. Thanks Bettey!”

“Bank’s Architectural Antiques is an absolute treasure trove of vintage doors, windows and accessories for restoration of old buildings. I could not believe the amount or scope of things these guys have in their warehouses. They can also repair and resize doors, shutters and windows to fit your needs. We have used them twice on restoration projects and were delighted both times. L”

“We love Merchant House! They always have beautifully curated items, and it's so much fun to talk with all the team members. We did a style consultation with Paul Shaw and he helped us think about how we could move things around in our house to have better flow and create some beautiful "moments" with our existing items. He did so much in just an hour! And he's been amazing with follow up also - answering all my questions. Would highly recommend this team to anyone.”
