Big Easy Pet Shop & Rescue Too
839 Spain St, New OrleansGreat staff here! The location is very much shoehorned into a small building but it’s packed with great and unique pet supplies. We visited on a Sunday for a vet checkup for two semi-stray rescue cats. They were very matter of fact yet kind, non judgmental curious and attentive to the cats. It gives the impression of a place that really really cares and loves animals

Bel Air Pet Care
Lower right side, 2905 St Claude Ave, New OrleansFirst time customer and we will definitely be back! My Sim is a 7 year old special needs Shih Tzu. He's a rescue who has been groomed under sedation since he was rescued and he's also blind. After years of sedated grooms that were starting to affect him we reached out to see if they were willing to try grooming him without sedation (he was sedated due to his reactions when they groomed certain areas). They said they would give it try and they were successful! They have tricks to deal with little quirks and the treats I brought with him didn't hurt the situation. I wouldn't hesitate to bring a special needs or older animal to them for grooming as they took great care in grooming my dog that was previously classified as being too reactive to be groomed while awake. He was very happy when I picked him up and even had a cute little bandana on.

Melissa and everyone at Scissors Me Whiskers put him immediately at ease, they are so clearly animal lovers and take pride in their work. When I picked our dog off not only did he look and smell amazing, you could tell he felt great. We will definitely be back, and are so happy to have found this place!! And all for an extremely reasonable price, to boot. 10/10!

Homeward Bound Services
1205 Hagan Ave, New OrleansI came into town to visit friends and found they were allergic to dogs. It was about 400 degrees out and my dog would not have done well alone in our hotel. I got a recommendation for May and when I contacted her, she answered immediately. She helped me get through the necessary paperwork and then found a place for my pup, Lucy P Waffles, with her mom, Julie. I dropped Lucy off and immediately knew she’d be fine. They sent photos and updates all day. I cannot thank May and Julie enough. Fantastic ladies!
