“This store has a better selection than the other $Generals in this area. The merchandising is pretty decent, the personnel is friendly, my only complaint is there is always big pallets of merchandise blocking the aisles. Other than that this is still the neatest store around here.”
“Wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, ready to eat salads, frozen food with an international Flair, lots of nuts, dried fruits, snacks, crackers and chips, oh and a fabulous liquor section. You can't beat their brand of vino!Hands down my favorite grocery store! They now have Pinot Noir in a box!
3/3/25 I am so excited because now they have two trader Joe's in the greater New Orleans area and they're building third! I'm going to have a trader Joe's about 1 mi from my house! How exciting is that!
They have great prices, too!
6/12/25 - Still fabulous!”
“I used to shop at Dorignac's exclusively. Due to their higher prices than any other grocery, I can no longer do that. Their prices are almost double than any other grocery and they don't have sales very often. It was my favorite grocery. doubleonly go there for a few select items that I can't find in other places.”
“They have everything you need for your favorite Korean dish. They have prepackaged kimbap ham and radish for you to make your own kimpbap. The ramen selections were decent”
“We all know Trader Joe’s has great products, but what really stands out is how laid-back and friendly the staff are at the New Orleans and Metairie locations. It just makes shopping there a breeze. And of course, the fruit prices might be a bit higher than some other grocery spots, but the overall experience definitely makes up for it.”
“Called for a last minute dessert/cookie platter and between the store manager, Jeff, and Alyssa in the bakery, they were able to make my dreams come true! Thoughtful, helpful, and efficient; there is a reason this is my favorite store bakery and store staff!”
“Love this place! Ive been a part of so many events here over the years. Love how easy this place makes it for people to host events. I was here for Nola Nite Market, and I got to meet so many awesome people, and take part in the cultural event there. Definitely recommend going when there is a cool event happening! The place really livens up”

“What is concern oh my God we went there twice in 2 days. I'm from New Orleans but I haven't been there much over the years. Was there visiting family. The last night there and also on the way to the airport we stopped there to get poor boys and red beans and rice. 16 in shrimp poor boy and oyster poor boy $9.99. you could also get the small round bun sandwich for $4.99. piled high as good as they get. Got to love those golf shrimp. Very nice people and a fantastic sandwich. We sat at the waiting area to board our airplane and ate our sandwiches. Still dreaming about those sandwiches!”
“Nice grocery store, parking in the front, has a Starbucks inside, great selection of fresh fruit and hot bar, with cold meal options. I believe they had a salad bar as well but not 100% sure. Great customer service and nice and clean place to shop. Would definitely recommend.”

“Doing my own personal hunt for the best poboy and Zara’s is currently at the top. Got the shrimp and roast beef and both are my favorite version of each—overstuffed (compliment) with small, well fried shrimp on soft bread, mayo, very well shredded lettuce, and tomato. The ferdy was just as much roast beef debris as satisfying full ham pieces, leaving me satisfied without sacrificing the messiness that leaves me full. Put it down the hatch with a Diet Coke on my back porch, since the ambiance knocks zara’s down a notch for a tourist, but is no knock to a local.”
“Kased International Market in Kenner is a true gem. I love the quality and variety of their herbs and international products—you can really tell care is taken in sourcing. I recently picked up hawthorn and olive leaves, and they were fresh, well-packaged, and exactly what I was looking for for my herbal routines.
The market has a wonderful selection, fair prices, and that welcoming neighborhood feel that keeps you coming back. If you’re looking for authentic international ingredients and quality herbs, this is definitely a place to visit.”
“Great local convince store with an awesome little kitchen. Feels like NOLA, the staff always is a great interaction in my day and they always keep my oreos, lol.”
“Great place staff friendly great food great prices great people all around wonderful atmosphere ?. I would recommend the fried chicken ?? Mac & Cheese ?. Very tasty ? might I add.? Hope to see some ? faces ? next time I'm in. Fellow artist ??and neighbor @tinkofnola??.”
“The best part of the store! Looking at all the beautiful pastries and sweets are so elegantly displayed, it really makes it difficult to choose from ?.
My partner and I both got a slice of Gentilly cake. This cake is dangerous. It really puts a smile on your face after devouring it ???”
“While shopping at Rouses on Cleariew Parkway for the first time I had the pleasure to be attended to by cashier Kolette she was very helpful and bagged my groceries as I liked. Her personality was friendly and I enjoyed her conversation. I am happy to see this kind of quality employee on board!! Thank you Rouse’s!!”
“Just like any other grocery store. This place looks clean, shelves are stocked and the workers are attentive. Things are a bit expensive though. You can deffenetly see their make ups on the wallet.”
“Saw this place on TikTok randomly and drove from Metairie to check it out. I’m so glad I did! Friendly service and fantastic food. Affordable. The fried chicken breast (on po boy) was extremely juicy and delicious. They must allow their chicken to sit in a seasoning solution overnight bc it was not dry at all! And it had a delicious crust. Can’t wait to try the shrimp bc it smelled fantastic (I bought both) ??”
“So many things to buy! I got matcha (the authentic kind!), kimchi, the fish ice creams, and my daughter got so many things too! It's a must for any Asian dishes or snacks you want to try!”
“Well stocked, well lit, and seemed more spacious. Prices compared to regular grocery reasonable, however you must ck the product dates. Courteous employees, fast checkout, accepts SNAP. QQA”
“Great selection of name brand items.Low prices on many items like pork chops, ground beef and ribs. Cold drinks . Lots of parking. Great value in these hard times.”
“Great selection. They even have niche goods like Diamon Crystal baking salt and True Lemon crystallized lemon (so much better than other brands' off-flavored bottled lemon juice full of preservatives) and just about everything else. There's a decent produce selection that's restocked frequently. If you shop the sales you can save quite a bit of money--they had Neutrogena and Aveeno moisturizers and face cleansers that go for $10 - 20 for 50% off last time I went! Amazing. I would recommend self checkout if the other registers are a bit slow. Also, for anyone driving, the parking lot is huge and I've never seen anyone have trouble finding a spot.”
“I was in the neighborhood and needed some groceries, so I stopped in. It was my first visit there. The store was clean and had plenty of inventory. The prices were very reasonable, and there was a wide variety of products. Checkout was quick, and the Associates were friendly. I'll definitely stop here when I'm in the area.”
“Friendly, family like atmosphere
Always greeted with a smile when you walk in. Great old fashioned, Mom & Pop type of establishment that's been around a long while already.. no complaints. ?”
“Roberts has one the best meat, seafood, bakery, and produce sections in the city. And, they definitely have the best salad bar in the city- hands down! They’re expensive, but their sales are comparable to Walmart. No kidding!”
“I’d like to recognize Tammy at Rouses on Freret Street for her outstanding customer service. She went above and beyond to help me find diabetic-friendly items for a family member. Tammy was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure I had everything I needed.
Shopping for special dietary needs can be stressful, but Tammy made the process so much easier. Her kindness and professionalism turned a regular shopping trip into a great experience. Rouses is lucky to have her!”

“The food is good, reasonably priced, prepared fast, friendly service and good location. It's also a gas station and convenience store. Gas is usually reasonably priced and they have a big selection.”
“Had a catering order -full pan of chicken Alfredo, 1/2 pan of jambalaya, 1/2 pan of coleslaw, veggie tray, Fruit and cheese tray, and deviled eggs! The food was FANTASTIC! It was ready at the time requested! The pans were filled to the top! Definitely recommend and will use them again!”
