“Place is open till 7 pm on a Saturday. I get there 10 minutes prior and some younger guy working there doesn’t open the doors and turns the lights off, yet I am trying to come in and spend money on specific road trip snacks before heading out. Another lady there said she was rushed at 6:30 pm with employee saying “ we close in less than ten minutes so I hope you know why you want , and better get it quickly” What a gong show. I will be finding a better spot to get my specialty items, even if I have to order online elsewhere. Update: The owner has handled this tremendously and I am grateful for him reaching out to make this right. This place has a high quality selection of specialty foods, and the owner and most of the staff are always super helpful.”
“Welp, that's a first. I've had gas station sushi before (terrible), but I've never had gas station crawfish (amazing!!) I've eaten my fair share of crawfish over the years, and I have to say Tech Drive is among the VERY BEST. Don't let the gas station fool you, this is truly an amazing spot. The pics speak for themselves. Got the 1/2 lb shrimp and 3 lb shrimp combo with sausage. They offer mild and hot....mild was perfect for me. Shrimp peeled easily, potatoes were tender and tasty, crawfish were huge! Sat in the parking lot and ate it all. This isnt the place for ambiance or dine-in, it's basically to-go. Stop here during your travels, you WON'T be disappointed!”

“ok so I honestly didn't shop shop here .but I did receive some of the most amazing help at this location .I hired an Uber to an appointment close to this store .after my appointment I was stuck 30 minutes from home phone almost dead and was asked to leave where I finished my appointment at the social security office(there were no Uber available to bring me home).I asked a manager (very sweet young lady) if I could charge my phone and wait for someone to pick me up. I was allowed to stay untill I found a ride and got picked up. I can't express how thankful I am for this huge blessing . thank you so much !”
“Visited here on Thursday afternoon, Nov 14, 2024. Normal hours are 1pm to 5pm M-F, depending on the students' schedule. But, the next two weeks, week of Nov 18 and week of Nov 25 the hours will be 3pm to 5 pm M-F. Then they will return to normal hours the week of Dec 2, 2024. It is better to exit off California Street onto Hull Street, but you can also turn onto Reese with its potholes. Then immediately turn onto Clark where their Sales Room is located. It's in a white building with a greenhouse semi-attached. They had a smaller selection of beef than what I had hoped for, but I bought a chuck roast and a sirloin roast, so I was happy. I'm sure the selection varies as to when they bring a steer to market weight and have it butchered. Prices are close to what you will find in the grocery store. However, it is locally raised beef on the school's farm, so does not go to the feedlot like commercial beef does. To me it is better beef plus it helps support their program. Disappointed they did not have any of their smoked hams yet, but the clerk said those usually are ready as it gets close to Christmas. They also have flower plants, herb plants, and some vegetable plants for sale. Currently, being end of the season now in November, plants are 50% off. I bought a sage plant for 75 cents. Plants in a 4 inch pot are $2.25.”

“This Walmart is convenient to get gas and a small assortment of things, The entrance of the store feels too crowded walking in, Also within the past week I have noticed some out of date sales items that are no longer on sale, I only know by scanning them through the app, I do feel as a patron they need to have their parking lot cleaned..just consider this is the entrance to many employees jobs and customers who see this often before they head in, someone in charge should consider maintenance/renovation”

“This Walmart is more crowded than most places in Ruston, but if you can handle the overload of people and students - it definitely has the best food selection in my opinion among the area grocery stores (not counting The Olde Wheat Barn ;-)). The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
