“Off the beaten path 5 minutes from I-10 in Vinton, Louisiana by the Texas border. Small unassuming store with a kitchen that serves plate lunches and crawfish when in season. I was heading down to Lake Charles, LA for work and was told I should stop by and try the crawfish. My coworker and I decided to make the drive from Lakes Charles (roughly 20-25 minutes) for the boiled crawfish ($6.99/lb at the moment). We were not let down. The crawfish was cooked perfectly. Just the right amount of seasoning without it being too salty. Looks like a small family operation so crawfish are cooked in small batches. I like that because it's less of a chance of the crawfish being overcooked like big restaurants. The tail meat slid right out of the shell without breaking apart. My coworker and I finished 3 lbs each with a corn and potato. Saw a couple of people ordering burgers and other plate lunches while we were eating there so it got us interested. We decided to order the shrimp fried rice with salt and pepper chicken wings to go. When I got back to my hotel later the chicken wings were still crispy even after an hour. I will be coming back, hopefully during crawfish season, if I'm ever leaving Texas into Louisiana or vice versa.Sorry I didn't have a picture of the crawfish. My hands had crawfish juice all on them ?”

“The best place I could have had a car emergency at!My tire ripped apart on the highway and thankfully I was able to safely exit and drive to this gas station to check out the damage. While I was trying to see exactly what I was dealing with, Marylan (owner or manager I believe) came outside to see if I needed help, examined my tire and advised me not to take the chance driving it to a tire shop because it was 17 miles away. I thought I would be able to change the tire on my own, but after a nice gentleman saw me stressed, he tired to help and it turned out the jack I had was too big to fit under the front of my car. Marylan came back outside to check on me and started calling her friends to see if anyone had a low jack and could help out. Luckily for me a big strong man named Marcus frequents the store and he literally held the frame above the wheel and lifted my car so I could put my big jack in place. He took the time to change my tire and of course lift the car back up so we could remove the jack. I was in the process of moving and had my tiny car packed with the last of my stuff from electronics to toilet plungers, so I was annoyed and worried about having to unload my stuff onto the ground around the car to access the spare tire. My worries about being in an unknown place and not feeling safe were eased by the friendliness and helpfulness of the employee, Marylan, the big strong man, Marcus, and the others who stopped and tried to help. I will be making it a point to stop here for my gas station needs as I cross over the state line from Texas into Louisiana in the future! Cheers and thank you to everyone!!”

“I'm staying at Vinton RV Park, and Chevron is one of the closest gas stations. The prices are reasonable compared to Exxon, which is even closer to the park. The staff is helpful, and this is my go-to spot when I’m craving food. I’m not a fan of their restroom, but thankfully, the RV park has excellent restrooms and facilities (Thank you for the staff who recomend this place) If you're in the area and need a place to park your rv, I highly recommend checking them out.
anyway in my opinion out of 2 gas station near Vinton RV Park?
I'll choose Chevron over Exxon.”
“Came in for tire repairs. After evaluation the shop lead tech informed me I needed to replace rear rotors as well. Tech Steve was assigned to my truck and did a great job. Very thorough, and transparent. Expressed his concerned and the importance of the repairs. Even had me do a couple laps around the parking lot to ensure functionality. Definitely recommend my guy for any job. Won’t be disappointed!!”
“Stopped here for some boudin on way back to Texas. They were out but had boudin balls. Only problem.... I should have bought a lot more because they were delicious ?”

“I'm staying at Vinton RV Park, and the nearest gas station is Exxon. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is helpful, but the place shows its age, and the bathrooms aren't the best. Thankfully, the RV park has excellent restrooms and facilities—and even a swimming pool! If you're in the area and need a spot to park your RV, I highly recommend checking them out.”
