Propane in Augusta, ME

“Caution get a second estimate & stay away from auto delivery. Was quote $1,200 to replace 6 circulator pump gaskets that cost $6.00 each. Questioned the quote because the system does not need to be drained, each pump has isolation valves. AFC stuck to the quote and told me it was $700 in labor. I guess the AFC gaskets cost $83.33 each. Received an email from the GM Paul Nadeau indicating that AFC had some issues with delivery due to the storm and requested that customers in my area respond if they need oil or not to help them meet their customers needs, understandable. Responded that I had over 3/4 of a tank and did not need a delivery until next month. They still delivered 37 gallons of oil?? Price of oil dropping next week!?Update on review: Mr. Nadeau the GM of AFC responded to my concerns immediately. Due to the problems with the recent storm staff missed my email indicating that I did not need oil. AFC reversed my delivery...YES full refund! The service manager dug into the service quote and found that it mistakenly included replacing three circulator pumps and was the reason for the excessive quote. Very please with AFC's response and will continue as a customer. Thanks AFC.”

April was extremely nice and caring about the situation and made sure that I got an emergency delivery that made sure I had propane. I would highly recommend suburban propane to anybody running propane. Amazing company and veteran friendly!.”

“I’m ordering K1 today ????. I tend to over do it. Eating right and getting plenty of rest are not something you have an abundance of extra time for. Sometimes you just aren’t able to have a snow blown path to the tank or even a shoveled one and sometimes you just don’t want to get out of bed because it’s cold, you’re cold. So arrangements are in place so you don’t have to and not even once have I ever heard a complaint or denial due to the fact the path hasn’t been perfect. Sometimes I would worry that a driver might be stuck in the snow so I would keep my eye on the time and go out and try to rescue them need be or get help anyway, looks can be deceiving when it comes to snow thickness, I know I got stuck once and I wasn't doing snow angels.
