Pet Care

Acadia Veterinary Hospital
21 Federal St, Bar HarborI wait until we get to Dr Fine at Acadia Vet, rather than cope with big city drs. The patience, knowledge and care that all our furry family receive is golden. After 25 years as being a patient parent, I couldn’t recommend them more highly

Pet Sitting & Training

Dogs at Acadia Woods
31 Gretas Ln, Bar HarborWe kenneled our 4 German Shorthair Pointers for the day 8/26/24. So we could bike the Carriage Road and visit Acadia National Park -Wild Gardens. Staff were wonderful and our girls were content and well exericised. Meaning, if you are aware of the breed they need to run a lot. And there is not a lot of places to run your dog in the park. So I would highly recommend Dogs at Acadia Woods. Also, very reasonable /affordable prices. Thanks again.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Bar Harbor Lobster Pound
414 ME-3, Bar HarborThe shrimp roll, ice cream, and service were all amazing! I found myself unimpressed with the lobster dinner (granted it was my first experience with lobster, so take that with a grain of salt) or the prices.

Mount Desserts, Homemade Pies
2 Lookout Point Rd, Bar HarborPicked up a pie before driving to hike and it was half gone before we got there. This was the best blueberry pie I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for pie this is IT. Owners are very nice. Pie was still warm when we picked it up!

Sweet Pea's Farm Kitchen
854 ME-3, Bar HarborIndoor outdoor seating, mainly outdoor cold in the fall. Food is excellent and the service even better. We had dessert, but the pizzas looked awesome

Project Social Kitchen & Bar
278 Main St, Bar HarborGreat drinks and friendly service!! Will was our bartender and served up some awesome cocktails. We didn't try any food, but can definitely recommend for some drinks.

Tap & Barrel Tavern
41 Rodick St, Bar HarborGo here for the mussels. That would be the whole review if Yelp would take it. Walking in you wouldn't think so, but really - just so good.

C-Ray Lobster
882 ME-3, Bar HarborVisited C Ray while vacationing in Maine. Lobster was delicious melt in your mouth. Can’t find lobster that good in the south! Definitely make a stop if you’re in the Bar Harbor area

West Eden Pizza
1319 ME-102, Bar HarborNo inside seating, but small seating area outside. Doesn’t matter. Pizza was fantastic. Steve’s Supreme was top-notch and the wife loved their special Hawaiian with hot honey.

The Barnacle
112 Main St, Bar HarborPerfectly shucked local oysters and a good drink list, all with friendly service? Yes, please!

Atlantic Brewing Midtown
52 Cottage St, Bar HarborBlueberry beer is the best of course, they have a decent variety of other options including a red ale I enjoyed but the blueberry I would order again for sure.
Crab quesadillas were actually really great, lots of crab meat, goat cheese is tasty. Comes with guac which is good but unnecessary. Still would order again.
Fish and chips are incredible, the fries come with kosher sea salt on them and are worth upgrading to or ordering a side of. Overall favorite dish here, would order again.
Overall, worth it if your first priority is the beer. Otherwise I’d try somewhere else and just order a blueberry ale.

The Stadium, Bar Harbor - Lobster Rolls, Popovers,Coffee
62 Main St, Bar HarborLet me tell you about this blueberry donut. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. I’m sure their other options are great, but I would go back to Bar Harbor for this blueberry donut alone.

Dog & Pony Tavern
4 Rodick Pl, Bar HarborWent there three nights in a row on a weekend trip! Outside area is perfect for large groups just wanting to stand and drink!

Acadia Perk
5 Firefly Ln, Bar HarborAcadia perk makes coffee drinks with plant milks (lots of choices). They have a small shop, so getting drinks to go is probably the best option. I also got the blueberry lavender latte with oat milk and my sister got a chai latte. Both were delicious and hit the spot after some disappointing coffee with breakfast this morning.

Black Friar Inn & Pub
10 Summer St, Bar HarborWe were referred to this pub as a great breakfast place by the front desk person at Anchorage Motel. The blueberry pancakes were good, but the blueberry muffins were even better!

Cottage St. Ramen
116 Cottage St, Bar HarborThe vegan options for dinner elsewhere on the island looked pretty uninspiring, so I went here and have no regrets. Had the broccolini and mapo tofu. The mapo tofu was a bit atypical, but delicious, and the greens were also good. Great for takeout, and I'm glad some of the revenue goes back to the community.
