Pet Stores & Supplies
Bark Harbor
150 Main St # 3, Bar HarborMy friends and I traveled from the DMV area to Maine during Xmas. Bark Harbor was one of the only stores open during the season and we were so glad! Everything inside was super cute, and the dogs loved being there. They had mugs, sweaters, collars, toys, dog treats, and more! The owner was also very friendly and even gave suggestions on which restaurants were open nearby. I would defintiely go back and support this business :)

Veranda at Balance Rock Inn
21 Albert Meadow, Bar HarborAbsolutely delicious meal! We made a reservation for our Anniversary dinner while we were on our trip to Acadia. I loved the dark, elegant atmosphere of the place. Compared to much of the other restaurants in the area, it didn’t feel crowded at all. Our server was super helpful, but also gave us lots of space to enjoy our meal. The food was all absolutely delicious. The beef yakitori was so flavorful! The chicory salad was good, but the bacon dressing was a bit overwhelmingly sweet for me, still tasted good, just not my personal preference. The sage dumplings with rabbit confit was amazing, the rabbit was so tender. The scallops were cooked to perfection and my husband loved the trout. Although I think for both of us our favorite part of the meal was the bread. It was so puffy and sprinkled with salt and herbs on top. My dinner could have been made up of just that bread and I would have been happy. I highly recommend dinning here while in Bar Harbor!

2 Cats Bar Harbor
130 Cottage St, Bar HarbormugsWe had breakfast on 12/31/23. My wife and I expected something speciaL, and that's what we got. The server, Robyn, was gracious and attentive, refilling our coffee mugs twice without being asked. I had an omelet with mushrooms, Boursin and chives, a combination I strongly recommend. My wife ordered the vegetarian Eggs Benedict, which, she said, was far better than ordinary Both orders came with home fries (freshly made and not greasy) and a large biscuit with butter on the side.

Its always the first stop when our grandkids visit or whenever we have a sweet craving. One plus is that they stay open through December! They make chocolate covered fresh blueberry candy that is absolutely delicious, plus I always have to get myself a bag of chocolate covered Gummi Bears too! And if you feel adventurous they have Lobster Ice Cream! This place is a must go!
