“Stopped for a breakfast sandwich and some gas before a light hike at Bradbury Mountain State Park. They have such a nice selection and fair prices overall! Would recommend to anyone needing supplies on the go, or some good food or a quiet place to eat”

“Was in today looking for Pita pockets since Hannafords shelves for these were empty. Wards the same. A fine young grocery associate listened to what I was looking for and upon paying for my purchases he approached me to say he had spoken to his warehouse and was able to order 3 different types of pita's. These are a great alternative to bread or wraps for everything. Standing ovation for this attentive sole.”

“There are some odd individuals working here. Not all, I'm sure. The redeeming quality is there is an Amato's Italian shop inside. Oh, and I saw these cake sized whoopie pies too!”

“I have always enjoyed my experiences with Golden Nozzle Car Wash and this one was good as well. The only issue I have is that they don't leverage the kiosks to pay in advance of getting to the wash entrance. When you pay at the entrance it tends to slow others down when the person pulling in doesn't have their money or card ready for payment.”

“I always stop here, even if they are more expensive. All the folks that work there are super friendly, which is the most important thing to me for any establishment. And they aren't overly friendly like if they are forced to be, they are genuinely friendly.”

“I loved it. ?‍♀️ not sure why all the negativity, maybe it's changed a bit. But this place is within walking distance to me, thankfully since I don't have a car now. And they sell just about anything you'd need. Tobacco, tubes, pipes, ramen, coffee, I saw a fridge/freezer section, there's a little household goods section off to the side. This place is great!”

“Very clean facilities! There was a friendly employee working at the counter. It had one of the cleanest restrooms I've ever been in. The parking area and fuel pump islands were clean and organized. The trash receptacles were mostly empty and well placed. The grounds around the perimeter of the facility were clear of trash and well maintained. This is just another example of the top-notch Irving Oil facilities.”

“Gas stations usually are pretty boring but this Irving Oil station is an exception. Of course they have gas and convenience items, but they also have an Amatos inside, and I believe they sell beer and maybe wine also. The cashiers are friendly. But did you know there is also a GREAT car wash here? There's automatic or handwashing bays. There are free vacuums, and there's even a dog wash! I think I remember seeing that you can buy car wash packages, which is really smart foe the winter since we get so much road salt on our vehicles. And it's easy to get in and out of the gas station because there's 2 stoplights right there.”

“This place is convenient for its location for sure ..the area it’s located at may be a lil rough for some that don’t know the area well ..but from what I seen as well as experienced every time I go their is the staff/workers area very decent people to everyone..they know must of their customers greatly or at least the treatment reflects that .. very cool to see that some businesses have that family kinda feeling they treat all theirCustomers like their the most important clients around ..some people may not have any people in their world that cares enough to ask about their day but this store does that ..very cool to see that people are still friendly to everyone that enters this location as they do ….”

“I recently stumbled upon the Irving Gas station in Freeport and it was like finding a hidden treasure, but with gasoline instead of gold. The staff's enthusiasm rivaled that of a cheerleading squad, and the fuel prices were so good, they made my wallet do a happy dance. If you're ever in the area and in need of some fuel-filled fun, swing by this gas station and prepare to be pleasantly surprised!”

“The staff went above and beyond to make sure my husband had a few days while waiting for his meds to come in the mail. She used a coupon she had to help us save some money as well. Very thankful ? ?. The meds he takes have terrible withdrawal side effects. They helped so much!!!”

“I went in to buy one particular product that I needed tonight. I was glad CVS was still open. It was almost 8 pm. Found bandage product immediately because of signage above the aisles. Although did not find the specific item I wanted, found the same item in "Max Hold." Did not need "Max Hold" because original product I was using was staying on just fine. Bought the "Max Hold" because that was what was available, although quantity was 2 less in "Max Hold" package than in original package. When I went to check out, self checkout only was available. Not terribly familiar with this, I was grateful that employee Alice stepped up immediately to offer help. I had $4 coupon on my ExtraCare card that I was able to use at self checkout & was grateful for that as well!”

“I've only been twice and treated well each time. There was a little bit of a line, but they're the best price in town, consistently. As J walked out, there were people waiting to get yo the pumps. With it was a little larger, just no room.”

“Pharmacy was helpful. They shared their "secret recipe" for Brown Tail Moth rash! Happy to report that CVS Calamine Plus did the job quite well in 4 days. I'll keep the "secret recipe " on file for future reference!”

“My passport was expiring so I needed to get a new one to travel to Europe this spring, so I had my photo taken at CVS versus at the photo studio. All I needed to do was stand in front of a pull down screen beside the counter and the clerk took a photo and printed a couple photos, it was $14.98 with tax, a bit less than what the Post Office or studio charge.”

“The crown jewel of Pownal’s celebrated downtown district. Keeping us locals gassed up and supplied with cheap coffee and snacks. Recently renovated and upgraded to include a bigger selection of local beers, which if you’re gonna gentrify slowly, that’s just the price we’ll have to pay.”

“Cumbies, for those of us who frequent them, or Cumberland Farms for those who are familiar with the brand has evolved over the last several decades. The majority of them, during my teenage and young adult life, were smaller establishments built with brick and had this pale brown color with the Cumberland Farms logo. They only had spots to pump gas and it was a hot spot for those who like to play scratchers. This location started across the street from where it is today as Staff D. pointed out in her review, and bought the land on its current location and upgraded to a Super Cumbies, well they don't call it that, but one could surmise that is what it would be called. They now have twice the number of gas pumps and the store is nearly 3 times larger. They increased the height of the ceiling, added more fridges and a walk-in fridge to browse the number of beers they offer from your typical corporate beers to some locally craft beers. The quality of the food and snack offerings has significantly gotten better and despite some still labeling it as "gas station food", you have to appreciate the rebranding and upgrades they made to the slushy machines, the coffee station as well as a touch screen ordering system to order some of their upgrade menu selection. I personally enjoy the new look and it was a wise move on their part to upgrade because who complains about a 99 cent coffee all day, and everyday. They do have to compete with Dunkin next door to them, but Dunkin does not offer gas and Cumbies does. Stop in and check out the place if you haven't seen it.”

“As far as convenience stores go, I think Cumbies has come a long way. They are investing in their locations, and generally hire exceptionally friendly and hard working employees. The Sabattus location is a great example. And if you have your gas purchase taken from checking account using their card, you save 10 cents a gallon. I have still not taken advantage of that feature, but it's there. Also, in the morning the coffee, while not great, is still only 99 cents, even if cups keep getting smaller. Biggest issue with their coffee is they have a seemingly good variety, including one limited time flavor. But I can't tell the difference in taste of any of them...they all taste the same, no matter what flavor you choose, to me anyways. And if you get coffee anytime after noon time, it tastes strong, old and nasty. But they provide an awesome selection of flavorings, have fresh cream and even have those little "stok" caffeine shots to boost your morning a bit. You don't go to Cumbies based on pizza...as it is generally the most bland pizza you can buy. None of their other fresh cooked items look good to me and I question what is used for ingredients...sure they are the cheapest money can buy. The service is refreshing to see employees take such pride in their work. They are very nice, as well....except for the tall female manager...she is abrupt, never smiles and just wants you to buy your s*** and get the hell out of there. I will avoid her register every time possible. She makes you feel very unimportant and just an interruption to her day. Good thing the other associates are nothing like her, or I would not go there. Ever. And most prices as in any convenience store are way to expensive, but unlike most, they do offer little sales from time to time, and there are a few reasonably priced items. This is a nice store and I do a fair amount of business here. The parking lot and gas pumps can be a dangerous nightmare when vendors are vending and people get gas and instead of moving car away from pumps so maybe someone else can get gas too, they just leave car at pump and go inside to shop. Many times I drive by and go to Lewiston location when the parking lot becomes a cluster. No matter what or where, I will always choose a Cumbies over any other convenience store. Now let's train the manager some people skills, and this particular location would maybe hit 5 stars!”
