“We enjoyed a mother-daughter stop here for two nights. It's maybe 1/4 mile or so from the main drag in Kennebunkport, so nice and walkable and saves on having to battle town traffic and parking. We had a cozy little room on the second floor which was nice and private and quiet. The bathroom was very nice and although the room was small, it was all thoughtfully designed to maximize functionality and comfort. And beautifully decorated as well.

The common areas of the Inn are also very pretty and relaxing, with plenty of places to sit inside or out. There were bikes to borrow, which we didn't partake in but probably would have on a longer stay. Gooch's beach is maybe a mile down the road, so again relatively walkable or certainly bikeable.

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We would stay here again happily.

One thing to be aware of, it's very lightly staffed. We didn't always handily see an employee around, however they weren't hard to find when needed - you might just have to do a bit of wandering common rooms or call the Inn number to find them. They were very welcoming and helpful while also giving guests lots of privacy.”

“Great location and service. Did someone say free breakfast too (really, really good waffles). There lots of amenity space to relax, but the rooms though they seem renovated still didn’t feel up to date. Overall the price was right, location was walking distance to the center of town and this place just felt our New England. Come and spend the night.”

“My sister and I decided to go up for the beginning of the local Christmas festival. We just needed a place for one night and she found the perfect spot. We got the last room they had available. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean and well-priced.
Also, I love their outside Christmas decorations. I jumped out of the car and regressed to a 5 year old when I saw their animatronic Rudolph characters.
Our room was spacious, with two large beds, a giant TV, kitchenette and bath. Everything we needed for a comfortable night out of the cold.
I would definitely stay there again.”

“Rooms and buildings are charmingly dated but the extremely small staff are very helpful, courteous and attentive. The location is perfect being in between the port and the beach. Both easily walkable. The Monastery grounds next door are very nice and modestly maintained. Pets are not allowed which is nice for walking the trails and grounds.”

“My fiance and I had the most wonderful experience at the Grand Hotel on our special occasion. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Our stay their will always be a memory we will never forget and the staff had a huge responsibility for that. I can not thank them enough for making the night so special. Thank you and we will definitely be back.”
