“The restaurant is beautiful and we were able to appreciate the view despite the cloudy evening. I had requested a table near a window and a round table if possible (a very specific ask!) in order to facilitate conversation. Not only did they accommodate our request but the service was terrific. Friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. The food was good overall--with many excellent choices and plenty of variety for a group with diverse taste.”

“The restaurant has wonderful service and a divine selection of food. Each item in my 3 course meal was fantastic, and the chocolate dessert melted in my mouth. I had a spectacular seat looking out to the water. I highly recommend the restaurant. I did not stay at the resort, so I can not comment on the rooms.”

“This place was great! I have no complaints what so ever. It was nice and quiet. Short scenic trip to town along the ocean front. The bed was very comfortable. Sophie was so warm and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Kennebuckport.”

“Room was not clean, especially bathroom, and outdated. Had a beautiful fire place but had no way to adjust flame and it got extremely hot so we couldnt even enjoy. Was very misled with pricing and ended up paying double what we were expecting. They also overcharged us for items/package we didnt request. Was definitely not worth the price. Will not be returning.”
“We stayed in one of the cabins with our pup to enjoy Christmas Prelude, and it was the perfect walking distance into the port while still being somewhat set away from the crowds.The cabin was thoughtfully-appointed—the fireplace was a big hit for us!—modern and clean. The main building was so adorably decorated and the breakfast was great.It's rare to find "dog-friendly" accomodations that are actually dog-friendly, but AWOL had a bed, separate towel, and food & water bowls all set out and waiting for our lil guy.All in all, we loved our time at AWOL and will definitely stay there again!Rooms: The cabin was thoughtfully-appointed—the fireplace was a big hit for us!—modern and clean. The main building was so adorably decorated and the breakfast was great.Walkability: Perfect walkable distance into the main port area while still being on the quieter side”
