“I moved to Strong in 2015, had seen Edmunds but never gave it much thought until I got sick & tired of Driving sometimes 1/2hr to markets in Farmington. Also, the "local convenience" store in Strong has a Monopoly on Strong residents. Yes, I get the idea of "convenience" stores being a tad higher, however, $0.34-.40Cents OVER Edmunds Gas, as well as being 60% MARK up over Edmunds mkt, the local place has been charging whatever they want SO, that said, I went to Edmunds yrs ago. I realized they are associated w/Hannafords, for me, 7.5miles away and an average 12minute drive. NOW, I'll NEVER give a PENNYS worth of business to the local Schysters at the ONLY MONOPOLIZE so called Convenience/Gas store, when ONE trip to EDMUNDS Mkt saves me on AVERAGE, $15-$30 dollars per shopping trip. It MORE than pays to go to Edmunds vs local rip off store! Also, Edmunds employees are EXTREMELY Helpful, they have a HUGE selection of LOW priced goods, Specials EVERY WEEK and for those who drink alcohol, they are a FULL service Maine alcohol outlet. Only OVERPRICED beer/wine sold in Strong, EVERYTHING a person needs is ONLY a 12 minute, EASY ride up Rt.4 to Edmunds! They carry FRESH Seafood, Lobster, etc.. Why Waist you HARD EARNED Money at the ONLY MONOPOLIZED Waaay OVER PRICED Store in Strong, when you can get EVERYTHING you need at Edmunds? Sure, they may not have 25 varieties of say, Spaghetti sauce like the larger stores in Farmington, but they have at least 5-10 for the consumer to chose from! For my ONCE a month BIG shopping I will go into Farmington, yet, I will say that I made a list of what I buy at Edmunds vs the BIG Box places in Farmington, and I was stunned that many of the items I buy, were the same if not LOWER priced! The ONLY monopoly convenience store in Strong, I can tell you that for a box of "Crackers" you'll pay OVER $6bucks when the SAME box of crackers at Edmunds is $4.39! Our "illustrious" so called convenience store in Strong, is NOTHING but a place to bilk people out of their hard earned CASH!! Just that box of crackers alone, pays for the gas to go to and back from shopping at EDMUNDS in Phillips. I can't say enough about this store, even under NEW ownership, I've noticed expansion and a BIGGER variety of products and prices equal to or lower than the Bigger Stores in Farmington. Also, the GAS AND Diesel at edmunds is the LOWEST anywhere remotely close to Strong, even beat Farmington gas prices!!”
