“Their gas prices have been $.30 - $.40 cheaper than anywhere else throughout this high inflation time. Their pump-first, move, and pay, honor system is like a step back in time. Staff are friendly too.”

“I was a bit reluctant to try Charleen's in Richmond due to the fact that you have to go into the store to pay for gas. I'll be honest, I like to go to self-serve, pay at the pump and get out. Here you do need to go into the store but they make it as efficient as possible. They are so busy that they have you pump your gas then move your car ahead before going into the store to pay. They ask that you let them know how much you owe them when you get into the store. This allows others to pump their gas. It is a Fabian gas station. During the increase in gas prices recently, Charleen's prices were ALWAYS lower than anywhere around. The prices were not just a little but a lot (30-50 cents a gallon) lower. They want to give the savings back to the community. There were times when the gas was $4.50 gallon at other stations and I don't think it ever went over $3.90 here. Let me tell you, the owners are awesome. They are friendly and inviting. They love dogs and are fine if you want to bring them into the store. They offer a variety of sundry items, beer, milk and even local baked goods. It is hard to rave about a gas station but if I am going to, it is absolutely going to be about Charleen's. This store/gas station and the people who own it are the best!”

“Always has reasonably priced gas and if I could give it a star for every new and fun flavored Energy drink I've bought here, they'd have infinite stars. ?”

“Love this place. One of the few remaining places that knows how to make an authentic Maine Italian sandwich! Great pizzas and great homemade treats. When I'm in the area I always stop in and stock up, even if I'm not hungry at the moment.”

“Best Pharmacy in all my travels... and I am an RV dwelling traveler who sees many CVS stores across the country. Pharmacist, Leah, is so responsive and knowledgeable! Everyone in line loves her personal touch! And Nichole, the primary tech, always delivers in a competent and polite manner! Thank you! ♥️”

“This may not be the biggest or most modern store in the area, but the customer service is that of a hometown store. They go above and beyond to help you with whatever you need! I go in there almost daily for gas or whatever and during the biggest snow storm of the year the banks were closed and my debit card wouldn't work, they worked with me to help with what I needed and I couldn't be more appreciative! Definitely A++ rating for me!!!”

“I am so fortunate to live close to the Exit43 Quick Stop! This is a greatconvenience store, with the most friendly staff. There is a large selection of cold beer, liquor, snacks and sundry items.Consistently fresh, delicious pizza with eclectic toppings, and some of the best fried chicken anywhere. Not your average gas station fare!! A must stop if in the greater Richmond area.”

“They have very clean restrooms. Their cold snack selection is has a very extensive variety of options to choose from. Small alcohol selection but they do carry all the essentials at least. The night shift attendant is very weird, and the morning shift attendant is a grumpy old carmudgeon that loves yelling at customers, but at least you can tell back at him and tell him how bad he is at his job, which he's extremely bad at it. All in all, a very great place.”

“I have had issues a few times in the past with employees not being honest... I am partial to how the store was when Jim and Vicki owned it. However we ordered food here last night as I was sick and could barley move to make my family dinner, the food in the past has not been stellar and we avoid it normally. The food last night was surprisingly really good. My Ham Italian was really good, in the past they have had one piece of ham and it was never enough. The pizza was good also. Usually the pizza is too undercooked for me, however it was cooked well this time. My boyfriend also said his sandwich was really good as well.”

“Everyone is super friendly. They carry a lot of staple foods if you're in a pinch. Their pizza is great, although I've never ordered anything else from there it sure looks and smells good. Maybe a tad overpriced, but that's why it's a convenience store. It's nice it's right down the street so I don't have to drive all the way into town for basic things, and they carry a decent selection of beer. Store is clean and always has full shelves.”

“Chester's employee was very nice and friendly. He made my order fresh instead of having to purchase items that had been under the heat lamps. I appreciated this very much! Bright and clean store with friendly and personable staff. I will definitely stop by here next time I'm in Augusta.”

“Bias much? How do you need help but will not call or return calls. I know it isn't Wendy, it whomever is over her. Please check your management staff, someone doesn't need that position”

“This is my favorite local store because it’s quick, friendly, convenient, and up until recently (tonight) 24 hours. It’s not clear why the decision was made to no longer be 24 hours but hopefully it won’t greatly affect the 3rd shift staff who were always cheerful no matter how late/early I visited the store.”

“Food is awesome and most of staff. Stop there often for food. Awesome breakfast pizza on Sunday morning. The best. Good amount of bacon on breakfast sand. Great pizza. Love the sauce”

“Apparently this place is open 24 hours a day and they have food. So if you are looking for something to eat in the middle of the night this is the closest thing to a all night diner or restaurant in the area.”

“We stopped here for gas on our way home. I've only been here once so I can only give my initial impressions. The bathrooms as well as the rest of the store were clean and new looking. I was impressed with the variety of food sold here. They sold 'fresh' Chinese food (e.g sesame chicken). I don't know if I'd eat it though. They certainly had quite a selection of other pre-made food as well as the usual snacks. Gas prices were on par with the surrounding area. They have a 'Beer Kave' for all your on the road beer needs!”

“I remember this store in 1963. It was for sale and abandoned. They wanted 3 thousand for this store. Fred Hanley General Store was the other store in the village. My father bought the 83 acre farm on the Blodgett Road for 4 thousand. Those were the days. The old Mainers told a lot of stores at the Fred Hanley General Store. I am Peter Wlodylo and I used to live on the Blodgett Road Pittston Maine. I went to OC Woodman in Gardiner. Barney was the school bus driver. Max Moulton was the tax collector. Deer hunting license was about 2.50 and our yearly taxes were 125.00 a year for our 83 acre farm.”

“Close at midnight now because of all the robberies. Wish it was still open 24 hours. Was very useful when only store open in area. Service is OK depending on who's working. Couple of there many employees are rude due to no smiles or even saying a word to you. Act as if your a pain for buying something there. Those one obviously hate there job and probably life in general. There's always people like that nomatter where you go. I'm happy so doesn't effect me but for 30 seconds it takes to cash out. Being nice pisses them types off even worse. That alone makes my day and a smile even bigger. ☺️ lol”
