“This is one of the cutest consignment shops for housewares I have been in. Wish I lived here so I could shop more! My parents are paring down, so their older (contemporary vintage / mid-century) pieces have been brought in. I hope they sell! If you are just starting out, then I suggest starting here!”
“My recent shopping experience at the Curtainshop was absolutely fantastic! The owner, John, and the employees in the store are outstanding! I first looked at the store’s on-line store, Port and Bay, for new drapes sheers; and found what I hoped would coordinate well with my living room color scheme. Rob was helpful in encouraging me to visit the store for several reasons, and John had the drapes ready for my purchasing decision in the store. Julie, the store manager, was outstanding and patient as she and Bianca helped me to find the perfect coordinating sheers. They encouraged me to use a slightly lighter color than I had been considering, and they were exactly right! The Ricardo grommet grasscloth drapes in Parchment, coordinate perfectly with the Ricardo Tergaline grommet sheers in white! My living room slider looks fantastic! The Ricardo products are high quality and absolutely beautiful! Visiting the store to feel the quality of both products and see the colors in person was invaluable. But most of all the professionalism, expertise, and the personalized service of every individual I interacted with made the shopping experience joyful!”
“Very nice store! We found the sweetest entryway chest of drawers for our home here. There were some beautiful alabaster lamps and lots of options for home decor! We will be back when in Portland”
“I always have a wonderful experience at my local store in South Portland Maine. The store is always displayed beautifully and the staff is friendly and very helpful.”
