“First let me say I’ve been vacationing in York for over 35 years. I not only shop @ Ro’s in York but I’ve also stopped into the other locations @ Perkins Cove.
Please know the day I first walked in I was greeted with a smiling woman neatly hanging up merchandise. I have been shopping for my family for Christmas gifts every year.
There was a day I actually took upon myself to help others with their choices. I being a frequent customer for years I knew the quality of the products. I have even called and met owners husband off season to shop.
I can’t say enough about the owners and their quality year after year. I live in Massachusetts and one day I plan to no longer be a visitor but a resident.
I would love to be part of the Ro’s family and putting smiles of the visitors who find that perfect Maine sweatshirt or keepsake.
I want all to know I have purchased clothing jackets, sweatshirts,t-shirts etc.. and actually years later these became hand me downs for my grandsons. The quality is amazing!
Please read all the reviews as I’m sorry to hear the upsetting experience some have had and though I don’t condone or disagree with the shoppers. Sometimes we as consumers only leave feedback when it’s negative and I feel reading I felt the need to give my honest feedback.
I love York Beach and have a little brick front of the Wine-Y Sister if you’re interested in whether I am leaving a sincere review.

“This wonderful store that features upcycled clothing is worth the visit. The work is done right there in the store! They take clothing that was headed to the dump and turn them into usable, cute clothing!”

It's been difficult to find tights for this coming season! The department stores were all a disappointment...
Come to find out City Shoes has always prided themselves on having a unique, varied, and expansive tights collection for purchase.
The prices range from $15-$45 (for the thicker tights). There are delicate and decorative varieties, as well as every day wear.”
“Very happy with the staff at this location. It was staffed by a couple of friendly men when we arrived about 15 minutes before close. I had a return and mentioned we were traveling and barely made it, and that I would try to look around quick. They insisted we take our time and not rush. We were still trying things on 5 or 10 minutes past closing yet were not rushed to be on our way, even with our 5-year-old exhibiting 5-Year-old behavior in their store.
After making our purchase and with the door locked behind us it took a while to get loaded up and on the road. I observed quite a few cars pulling in with people hoping to get in the store. Maybe they should consider staying open an extra hour in summer. 5:00 is pretty early.”

“Gorgeous fabrics and designs! I walked by the Portsmouth store window with a friend and the colors drew me in. We met Carol, one of the owners; she was friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic about her textiles. It’s so difficult to find 100% cotton clothing nowadays and their apparel items are not only cotton but preshrunk cotton, so you don’t have to worry about shrinkage. If you love well-made, unique designs and colors, and 100% cotton apparel, then Apsara is for you.”
“Absolutely love this store and all of the kind people! Whenever my friends visit I always have to take them here. The earring wall is absolutely stunning, my favorite of all lil Portsmouth shops. The team also has the BEST customer service. I lost one of these earrings walking around after I had bought it earlier that day. I told the team and they were so kind they gave me a replacement!! Definitely check out all the soft clothes and gorgeous headbands they have in stock”

“My son's off to College in less than a week & we needed to get him some last minute clothes. So we went here & they're having a huge sale. 40% off pants/shorts, 50% off hoodies/zip-ups, 10-15$ shirts. Just about every department & everything is on sale. We got quite a bit, would've came to over 300$ & we paid around 130$ for everything. Love this outlet, never standing in line but for a couple minutes, fast & polite workers at registers & if you need help or a different size that's not out on the floor they're happy to go out back & check for you. Woman at dressing rooms was extremely nice as usual. Definitely recommend going here.”

“I came here under the recommendation of a family member. There's a great selection, and the price was fair. I selected an Oxford style shoe that can be worn in semi casual to dressed up. There's a 60-day return policy if you do not like the shoes. These shoes fit and look great. You can also purchase belts, shirts, ties, socks....it's a great men's shop.”

“RAN into bobbles and lace because my post beach- drinks on a deck - turned into a last minute family dinner and I was in my beach clothes (and bathing suit) wanting jeans to switch over to a pm outfit. I didn’t even get the girls name who was working but she was lovely!! She kept throwing me clothes to try on that worked with a stupid bathing suit, immediately got me several pants in my size, and even encouraged me to hand her the tags off the clothes as I built an outfit to walk out in. I wish I recorded my boyfriend’s face when I walked out in 12 minutes with an entirely new outfit (and a second pair of jeans that looked amazing) thank you so much!!! Always love bobbles and lace. All the locations have impressed me as a Newburyport regular! (Tuesday 5/5 at 3:30 pm)!”
