“Giant Tiger is located on 1450 Ellice avenue in the west end/polo park area of Winnipeg. The store is located in a retail shopping centre on the corner of Saint James Street and Ellice avenue. This location was opened last year and is well updated, well stocked, clean, and the staff was very friendly. It is located adjacent to Staples, Mongo’s Grill, Ben and Florentine, McDonald’s, as well as Jollibee. There is plenty of free parking as well.”

Being an immigrant,i always get a sudden switch in face expression from the cashiers when it is my turn, even when i am doing large purchases.

“I purchased something too big to fit into my vehicle and the staff was so fantastic about accommodating, holding onto the item until the following day so we could come back with a larger vehicle to transport it.
Not to mention the item was on clearance, and the only one of its kind in Winnipeg!

“Interesting history on the main floor. Shows the timeline of the company to date. From the old canoe to the cannons it was a nice place to wait around in before the interview. The higher levels are a bit of a cubicle farm, but the fact it has an on site cafeteria makes up for it. Friendly staff.”

Looking for a product staff took me to where it was today, January 30 2023. Good price on a Fram synthetic oil filter. Problem with their offer loaded offers made a purchase discount did not appear. Returned everything and repurchased everything again, offer worked this time. What a pain in the ass. I am sure some people think they got the offer but didn't. Check your receipt.”
“I was lost in the aisles when a young gentleman with glasses came up to me and helped me find some rat poison. He was very efficient and respectful, I didn't know which option would be the best for what I needed but he helped me get what I was looking for and guided me through the different types. Overall had an easy time”
“I want to thank Orion ( Service advisor), one of the best person spoken in Canadian tire parts and service department and he has guided me to use fuel injector cleaner to ensure my car should get good mileage and also assisted me in finding the best one. “It is full-filled with LOTS of items! The store, eventhough has tons of items on center of flooring, mostly the main walking paths, it's still a neat store. Prices, however, high, and some of the staff members do not address the customers in a more decent way. However, only one staff member took his time twice to try to find an item for me, which was a wooden-handle straw broom....unfortunately only one was found...so, are these brooms not being made anymore?
Nevertheless, I think it is a well-runned store.”
“I had the outmost best experience at the St James location. When I first made the appointment, I was greeted by 3 employees who were full of knowledge followed by amazing service from a gentleman named Ryan. I felt aweful for him when I came back to pick up my car and this lady was yelling at him for no reason. She was mean. He handled it well but I saw that he needed a little pick me up so as I approached the counter I gave him a big smile and praised him loudly for the service I received. People need to have a little patience sometimes and not take their frustrations out on others. Keep doing what you are doing Ryan. Ps I’m sending people your way.

“A beighbour bought a defective electronic item and they refused to refubd / replace it. One time the doors closed on me injuring me leaving me in pain for a month. It took them a over a month to respond. Of the 4 grocery stors in a 2 block rsdius, they're the 2nd most expensive. I now rarely go there”

Despite being really busy, she helped me quickly and with a smile, which relieved so much of my stress.Also she was clever and kind enough to notice that I’m in hurry and helped me throughout without being asked.Her friendly and efficient service made all the difference!

“I went to return a camera today around 6:20p.m. and the wonderful man at customer service was so thorough, kind and accommodating to me. I’ve received great customer service at Walmart southdale many times but the experience this evening really blew me out of the water. He was genuinely warm, patient and so considerate of me. Please promote and retain him. Employees like him actually care.”
