Hours: High's: A Convenience Store with a Rich Heritage and Dedicated Team Since 1928, the High's brand has been a fixture in the Mid-Atlantic States, growing to become the world's largest ice-cream store chain with over 500 locations. In 2012, Carroll Independent Fuel Company acquired High's, refocusing the brand as a chain of 60 convenience stores run by a team of 500 talented individuals. High's commitment to providing customers with the products they want, in a clean and friendly atmosphere, is the foundation of their success. Customers praise the stores' helpful staff, especially employees like Lacey and Joe, who go above and beyond to assist customers, whether it's helping set up the High's app or carrying items to the counter. While the majority of reviews are positive, some customers have noted the lack of public restrooms, which can be frustrating on road trips. However, the stores are generally seen as a reliable and well-stocked option for gas, cigarettes, and other convenience items. High's is particularly appreciated by senior customers, who have found the staff and management to be extremely helpful and understanding, even for those with conditions like dementia. Overall, High's is a convenience store chain with a rich history, dedicated team, and a focus on providing a positive customer experience, making it a go-to destination for many in the Mid-Atlantic region.
