“I visit this location just about everyday. Gas, snacks, ATM. I'm friends with all of the store staff. Recently, I brought a 2nd car - and waited until 2 days before the temp tags would expire to get it inspected. Memorial Day. The Powder Mill Rd Shell had their shop open! I spoke with the shop manager to ask WHAT would fail me on a state inspection? There was an issue with the 'hood ajar' sensor showing the hood was open and it wasn't. The shop manager took my number so that he could call me back with an answer. He did call me and told me that the issue wouldn't cause a failed inspection. I was at work when I got the call so I then called my girlfriend and had her take the car across the street to get inspected. She told me afterwards that she was treated like the shop manager knew her once she explained that this was the 'hood ajar' car. 2 hours later she texted me the list of what needed to be done to get the car up to state standards. For a car that cost me $2,700, I was surprised to see what the low the total was - and HALF of that total was for 2 new tires. Pro tip: IF the shop manager makes a suggestion, TAKE that suggestion! It will save you time. The car was ready earlier than promised. I couldn't be happier. A true professional that won't rough you up on the price. My brother works at a shop and I did text him a photo of the list and the price. He told me his shop couldn't beat the price - OR the finished time.”

“I recently purchased a used car and took it to Beltsville Exxon for Maryland inspection. While going through paperwork for my previous car that I lost due to being in an accident and it being totaled, I saw that I still had the receipt from its inspection at this Exxon back in 2006. I shared the receipt with the guys here and they were pleasantly surprised that I still had it and returned to them for this inspection. Everyone was very nice and Tabrez, who performed the inspection, answered all of my questions patiently and respectfully. A few minor repairs were needed to pass the inspection and after phoning my mechanic for his guidance I gave the go ahead for the repairs. Tabrez even gave me a discount for returning to the shop after 13 years - very nice! While the inspection and repairs took place, I was able to sit at a picnic table outside and do some work. Tabrez offered me water or coffee while I waited, too. I would absolutely recommend them and will return again for a future inspection or repair if needed.”

“Why review this link of the chain? If it's not just like every other, corporate management will squawk like heads with their chickens cut off. But there are eight gas stations on the mile of US 1 between Cherry Hill Road and Powder Mill Road, and they always have the lowest price, even beating WaWa across the road. Also, the staff has always been courteous and they carry Arizona Energy, a favorite of mine (non-wheelspinning boost that doesn't taste like a chemical factory) that can be hard to find because stores would rather sell you Monster for twice the price.”
