“I have been going to Lockett’s for a couple of years doing some major maintenance (100k tune up) and other standard car maintenance and brakes. Always honest and they stand by their work. Recently had a water pump replaced as it was going bad. After bringing the car home, there was a coolant leak near the repair. An o-ring caused it and Lockett fixed it immediately. Things like this happen and it’s the overall integrity that’s important.

We knew we couldn’t make it back home with the state of our car and needed urgent assistance… so we came across top auto and decided to go based on the really great reviews. It was the best decision we made!! The man who serviced our car was incredibly thorough, making sure we knew exactly the problems were through an initial diagnostic, and breaking down all the costs. We were worried that because we were out of state and the urgency, we would get up-charged. But he made sure that we knew exactly what we were paying for, nothing more. “I'd give this business 6 stars if I could. I have a 2016 3-Series which had cables chewed through behind the dashboard. The BMW Dealership at Catonsville quoted me $4200 to remove the dash and floor board just to LOOK at the issue. I decided to try another route as my car was not exactly "safe" to drive anymore and I didn't have thousands to put down right now.Luke was the rep who provided me with perfect customer service, and my expectations were blown away! I was expecting to not have my car for maybe a week and have to spend at least $3000. When I got the call that everything was fixed merely 2 hours later and for only $250, legit my whole life just became so much better.Finding this shop was basically a Christmas gift for me. Will recommend to anyone with a BMW they care about (well I'm sure they are gentle with other makes too ;))”
“The owner has saved me a ton of money on repairs to my old Toyota truck. Must make an appointment and be prepared to leave it with him. But like I said, he knows Toyota and can save a bundle compared to dealer and others. He will only make needed repairs, none of that up selling here. “I had an experience I could only dream of with a local shop. From the start of bringing my car in on the tow truck Affordable was open and direct in the diagnosis of my car's issues. Even though I'm from out of town and an obvious 1-time customer, James treated me like I was a long time regular at his shop. James went to great lengths to help me handle the various issues with my car and some specific requests since I live 90 minutes away and was ideal to work with. I can't recommend them strong enough and if for whatever reason I have car troubles in the Fredericksburg area again they will be my first and only choice.”
“I’ve been to this man a few times! He’s the ONLY mechanic I trust fully! He’s an extremely honest hard working man who wants nothing but to help his customers and of course make sure they come back to him if they need any repairs or a simple oil change! His prices are amazing! My girlfriend was told by a Hyundai dealership she needed a new wiring harness for her head light and wanted like 1300$ for it. I took it to Mr Joey after I put a new bulb in it and it went out. He installed a new bulb and whatever he did the build never blew again and on top of that bc it was such an easy fix i guess… and bc he’s actually a honest honorable person and mechanic the man never even charged us! We gave him a tip for his time bc he still installed a bran new bulb and took time out of his day to help us. Any time I go to him I tip him every single time just to show our appreciation for him and what he does! His prices are amazing he is amazing! Thank you Joey!”

“This is my second time getting my car serviced here and AJ has been exceptional. My wheel well had grease all around it and AJ quickly identified the problem quoted me a great price. He said he would pressure wash the wheel and any remaining grease in that area I have included before and after pics. The issue was the cv boot was leaking and so he replaced the cv axle. He also tighted up the undercarriage shield that had been partially torn. I highly recommend taking your car there.”

“This location was a much needed relief for me. I stopped in because my car was making a knocking noise and I was worried . I’m not from the area so I wanted to have it checked before I got on the road. Alex was so unbelievably kind to me. He was genuinely concerned about my concerns and assured me he would take a look and fix whatever the problem was. Within 10 mins he called me with his findings and in 20 mins I was all set to head home. He and Mr. Cruz took extra care of me. I was so appreciative that they came in to work on 8/7/2026.”

The owner and his wife and son are so kind all of them have good customers service. And I m a manager of a hotel, so I know what that means. I could live all the way on the other side of town, but I would drive there, because of the customer service . 5 stars is not enough I m give them a 10 star. If you every on the area stop in get your gas and they give great customer service. I m the older that play cash and alwY come and get water. I m out of town right now, for work at another hotel. They are cheap, they fast and all the mechanic know their job and they do it excellent. The boss wife she come sweep, stock up. Help out.
