“Lidl has a lot of strengths, including its bakery and meat department. You can save money by shopping here. Milk is a dollar a gallon cheaper than the place up the street (not Food Lion). The weak point is the check out line,. During the last two trips only self check and a poor associate who did full check out and had to deal with glitches on self-check was on hand. The security feature of using the bar code on the recieipt to get out of the store is confusing to the first timer and a heads up should be on the screen of the check out terminal. I have been twice recently and lines stack up when the other lanes are not open. They need to correct this or they will lose customers. Lots of choices in Bear.”
“Love this place. Amazing what you can find here, some things you can not find anywhere else. Just purchased a lot of different kinds of food. In the frozen meat section is a lot local meat. The cheese section is excellent. The vegetable produce is quality. Every person that works there is personable. They seem to like what they are doing.

“Nice little store in Galena perfect for a quick stop, owner recently added more storage space to this store and he stocks more of any given popular item, so if it's hot sell item, they usually have it .”
“I went back to Aldi because someone recommended them to me. I usually go to Lidl. Some prices were less than Lidl, and some prices were more than Lidl. Lidl has more products that I buy than Aldi. I like both places. You need to bring your own bags to both places.”
“The store was nicely organized, employees were nice and helpful when reaching for items, or looking for an item, Some employees were stocking shelves and placed their carts on the same aide they were stocking and asked if we were looking for an item behind the cart they were willing to get it for us or move their cart out of the way. Employees were friendly when we entered the store and Friendly at check out. The store is wheelchair accessible and the restrooms clean and sanitary.”
“In general this Walmart is a great place to shop, the prices and variety and availability are usually excellent.
However, it is sad to see Walmart back tracking on the Self Serve check out lanes. They have recently implemented a reduced amount of items that can be checked out and have reduced or blocked off many of the larger lanes.
Several years ago this store and many other Walmart stores added dozens of large self serve lanes. They had more lanes than any other retailer by a LARGE margin. Check out was a breeze, fast and convenient. The reduction of lanes and amount limits is HORRIBLE. Unfortunately there will now be longer waits for registers. My time is valuable and
I will be reducing what I purchase now at this Walmart and thinking twice about stopping at this and other Walmart stores.”
“ALL Dollar Generals great. I went through my bank charges and realized how often I go to Dollar General. Good prices...purchase essential items. Purchased some things for the homeless too.”
