“We chanced upon this store while visiting someone in the area. It was Sunday just before lunch but this store was hopping busy. We were lucky to find a parking spot because there were a number of cars coming into the lot. It is a small store compared to the ones in Houston but it is every bit as good. They had a large variety of items. We were looking for flowers and a small cake. They had a good selection of fresh flowers. We were looking for a small cake for someone’s birthday. They didn’t have any so we bought a Banana Walnut bread which was yummy according to the recipient. This was a quick stop for us but it gave us a good glimpse of the store. We interacted with a couple of employees who were very helpful and cordial.”
“They kicked my friend and I out for taking to long but he was tryna buy groceries and I was not about to spend all of my money in an expensive market. Other than the "Hold Up" the store was pretty nice. A variety selection of snacks and they take EBT”

“I love wandering around in Rice Market - it feels like entering another world, with an incredibly comprehensive and fun selection of beautifully arranged food and home products. I work nearby and come for the hot prepared grab-and-go food, which tastes more like grandma's cooking than a restaurant. In cold weather, the outside terrace is empty, so you can enjoy delicious hot food in the refreshing cold and people watch for 10-15 minutes.”
“I only come here once in a while since they’re overpriced. People here are really helpful and friendly though really slow. They have stuff like vegan milk, vegan cheese, vegan ice cream, and vegan burgers. They have some interesting stuff like vegan fish or shrimp although I never tried them since they are quite expensive.”

“My wife of 15 years being from Thailand needs products from her region sometimes not necessarily from Thailand. We have been customers for years after Thai Market closed in downtown Silver Spring. Always friendly and generally have the spices and condiments she likes to maintain.”
“The customer service here rocks!! Everyone is so attentive, helpful and knowledgeable - it's like they live and breathe Mom's mission, which doesn't happen often in a grocery store chain. Their product is always stocked, and organized. I never leave without anything I needed. 5 stars for Mom's on NY Ave!”

“My first visit to this location it was pretty busy on a Saturday and afternoon parking was tight. The hot foods dining area was pretty small. They seem to offer like eight different types of soup. They had some premade dishes and dishes available. I picked up a couple onigiri, marinated eggs, seaweed salad, and some pickled ginger.
Tons of options of miso and kimchi, noodles, dumplings, ramen, galore. I picked up a few kinds of kelp, some wakeme and some kombu.
All of the fresh fruits and vegetables were really impressive. They had tons of different types of mushrooms and it was pretty cool to see some variety packs available.
Lots of fresh durian, even small already cut and prepped.
The meat and seafood areas were impressive as well.”
“They have good products with fair prices! Specially the dairy products and most of their products are organic and not expensive. If you want to buy meat, this is not the place to go.”
“Only place in the area I've been able to find tamarind sauce (specifically sauce, not chutney)! Wish I'd checked here before ordering some from the UK. Helpful and polite staff. Small store but good selection, especially of spices and dried fruits. I wasn't buying meat so I can't comment on that.”

“This location seems to offer a good balance between location, ambiance and service. Parking was plentiful, employees were pleasant and helpful, inventory was clean and fresh. I went there to use the Amazon return desk and ended up staying to enjoy the totally wonderful eclectic marketplace.”

“I love Aldi’s ! I especially love the ones far out Va or Maryland because it’s fresher and cheaper in my opinion. The ones in dc are a bit ran through, also the ones in other parts of Maryland, so i suggest you really read reviews and check stars”
“This Whole Foods upholds its reputation of being clean, with great produce, and friendly service. Plenty of parking in the garage. Some products I don't see at other Whole Foods locations is a plus.
Still some things I didn't find. I was looking for Injera chips, fresh spearmint, and a bunch of beets. None of this was available which was disappointing since I usually pick those items up at the Riverdale, MD location. Nonetheless, I found everything else and enjoyed my trip overall.”
“Inside of the Brazilian supermarket is a little cafe where you can buy pastries both salty and sweet as well as coffee and other drinks!
We asked for the pastel de queso and it was DELICIOUS!”

“I used to love this place, but the prices are through the roof. Still, some items are cheaper than buying on Amazon. It still provides dairy products that are NOT offered anywhere else, and is a cut above other health food stores. But too many times the items I go there to get are sold out. We rely on it for dairy. Has lots of pasture raised products. Two bags of groceries can easily run $200.”
“I am just reviewing the food. It was really nice. The servers don't really speak English but I was able to point and gesticulate what I thought looked nice. The shrimp in the creamy soup was delicious and so was the rice and plantains. I went back twice. It was 16.25 for a very large serve of food. I had some leftover for dinner. If you're looking for great takeout, come here.”

“I think this is the only place in US where you can get out with basic groceries in hand (milk, bread, some veggies) with bill under 10$. I appreciate the Aldi store chain for that. ?
And, they have pretty much everything you need for daily use.
On the otherhand, I dont mind paying 25 cents for cart but who keeps the coins with them in this mostly cashless Economy.”

“The best Brazilian market in the DMC area. There's a variety of products and the prices are incredible! You also can find delicious salgados such as coxinhas, pão de queijo, pastel etc to eat in the store and have a break before going home.If you're Brazilian, you're gonna love it and kill some of the saudade from home.If you're not Brazilian but are curious about our food, I definitely recommend going to By Brazil and try some of the salgados on the counter ;)”
“The traffic around this Trader Joe's is very busy and can get congested. Surprisingly though the inside of the store is much more spacious than the other stores I've been to in DC. Products are consistent and always in stock.”

“This was one of my favorite spots pre covid. It's still nice, but it's lost some of it's appeal and luster.
I loved the poke bowls and crunchy shrimp roll, they nolonger have those. I used to love the soda machine making my own flavors like peach and raspberry sprite and cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper, or just lemon dasani.
They were the best, now they are just ok. The grocery part of the store, is still awesome. They have a lot of asian ingredients things I can't find anywhere else. And I love their fresh pressed juices, especially fugi apple juice. The basting oil is an essential component to my cooking in my kitchen. It pairs so well with seafood.
Gotta love Wegman's”
