“After reading reviews from other post office I decided to go here. And it was the best decision. As a first time person doing a new passport Jeff was extremely patient and nice. He the whole process smooth and easy.”
“Received fast, friendly service from Sheila. I did not come in for conventional usps services and was expecting issues, but she was very knowledgeable and I was out within two minutes.”
“I just had a VERY POSITIVE interaction, by telephone of all things. I needed to retrieve a package that needed my signature, and the online automated system was of no help (sigh), but I called, spoke to a wonderful representative who took personal action to ensure I could designate someone to pick up the package for me, and accomplished getting the package. This was after two months of USPS system problems and errors. In other words, the person at the Edgewater Post Office helped me overcome the USPS system problems, in the most friendly, caring, and helpful way I could want. Well done, and THANK YOU.”
“One of the best post offices I have ever visited. The staff is always very friendly and very knowledgeable and very helpful! Always patient and give their service with a positive attitude!”
“The lady was very kind!!! I went early to make a return and everything was very simple, as it was my first time I didn’t even know how all that worked, so I just asked and she was very kind and everything was fast!”
“Friendly, efficient, competent service. We didn’t realize we needed an appointment but we were welcomed anyway. Grateful for this kind post office experience! Thank you, Riva USPS.”
“The two ladies that work here provided an excellent customer service. I am very surprised as I haven’t had this great experience in an USPS. Very satisfied with the service here.”
“While I very much like the USPS employee that is typically at the window. She's extremely friendly and helpful. I have a major complaint with the fact that regardless of which Saturday I go, the door is never unlocked despite both the door and website displaying these supposed PO Box Access hours of 10AM - 2PM. I arrived at 1155 this morning and the same foolishness. Its extremely frustrating and it's professonial. Do beeter USPS!”
“Mannnn this location wayy better than the one on Laurel Bowie road. The clerks in there were nice and helpful. I lost my key and they went to the extent of calling the gentleman on the route today to hold my mail for me. Only location I’m going to moving forward.”
“Really good customer service at this location. My local carrier also deploys from here. Stopped him as we drove past one another today to tell him how much we appreciate his consistent, good service. Not sure how regularly folks in his role hear how well they are doing (or how often any of us get positive news on the job). It should happen far more often than it does.”
“This is the best post office I've been to. The regular woman who works there is great. I'm pissed today because my package was refused due to using FedEx packaging. I mean, really, who cares, so I had to cover up everything fedex and them take it back. Never have this problem with the regular person, but always with new people. 2 more things: 1) this location has always closed at 5, not 5:30 and 2) this place is a mess because of the nasty people that go in there and throw their trash everywhere but the trash can. I see strips pulled off of letters on the floor, boxes left etc etc and it's no one but these trashy customers who would never just toss their trash on there own floor. Or would they. How about we police ourselves”
“I went into the Crownsville Post Office and accidentally spilled all of the mail I had brought in. Derek (and all the other people in there of course laughed) was gracious enough to say, don't worry about it, that he would take care of it and get the mail on it's way. I appreciated his compassion and assurance that although I had caused him more work he willingly took care of it. Many thanks to Derek for easing my embarrassment.”
“I have always had a positive experience, both at the old location and the new. My daughter and I have been dropping off her eBay sales for the last few years and we have always found the staff to be pleasant, efficient and professional.”
“The best postal service. The lady who provided me service was gracious, deliberate and professional. It can be tough serving the general public; however, I have come to respect and appreciate her efforts over the years.”
“I have been here a few times to mail packages or drop off letters. Each time, the post master has been very helpful and quick to get me in and out. I can't imagine their job is an easy one.”
“Dia was a pleasure to me. I went in and had several questions in regards to passports for both me and my daughter and she was very knowledgeable and gave me excellent information and walked me through how the process works. She demonstrated excellent customer service to me as well. Being new to the area this is a major green flag for me. Thank you Dia for your help. :)”
“This Post Office has done a 180! Drastically improved with excellent customer service, efficient and professional. Especially nice help on NYE from Kristina, when so many other places were closed. Thank you!”
“Friendly staff and helpful but DO NOT USE THE AUTOMATED SERVICE! Worst helpline I've experienced, call this number for the office instead:
301-464-8693”
“Ladies and gentlemen, fellow citizens,Today, I stand before you to emphasize the **indispensable role** played by our United States Postal Service (USPS). It is more than just a system for delivering mail; it is a vital thread woven into the fabric of our nation.1. **Connecting Communities**:The USPS binds together the scattered populous of our great land. From bustling cities to remote hamlets, it bridges the gaps, ensuring that every address receives correspondence. Our rural communities, often isolated, find solace in the familiar sound of the mail carrier's footsteps. It is the lifeline that connects us all.2. **Public Safety and Resilience**:When disaster strikes, the USPS stands unwavering. It is an **essential support agency** in our National Response Framework. During hurricanes, wildfires, or pandemics, our postal carriers become beacons of hope. They deliver not only letters but also life-saving information, medicine, and aid. Remember Hurricane Maria? Our letter carriers in Puerto Rico provided critical data to FEMA, aiding vulnerable citizens in need¹.3. **Universal Service Obligation**:Unlike private delivery services, the USPS operates under a universal service obligation. It ensures that every American—urban or rural—has access to mail service at a reasonable price. Our postal workers brave all conditions, from scorching summers to icy winters, to bring packages to citizens' front doors. They are the unsung heroes of our daily lives.4. **Public Good, Not Profit**:The USPS is not merely a business; it is an invaluable public good. It does not seek profits but serves the people. It is the third-largest employer in America, hiring nearly 100,000 veterans. Its favorable public opinion surpasses that of any federal agency. Let us recognize its essentialness and protect it as a national treasure. In conclusion, let us celebrate the USPS—the tireless carriers of our stories, the guardians of our connections, and the embodiment of resilience. Let us safeguard this institution, not just for today but for generations to come.Thank you, and may the spirit of service continue to guide our postal workers as they crisscross our great land, delivering hope, love, and democracy itself.God bless America, and God bless the United States Postal Service! ???”
“I’m sitting in my car, still floored by the excellent customer service I just received. I brought in a package by mistake that was supposed to be UPS, leaving my USPS package in the car. Had my hands full with a stroller and the large package. When the young lady behind the counter realized my mistake, she followed me back out to my car and took the correct parcel for me. She told me to have a blessed day and I certainly have thanks to her! Love being able to write a glowing review.”
