“I recently special ordered an electric lawn mower from Ace Hardware. There were unusual circumstances that required the processing of the order to go perfectly to meet my needs. Fortunately, Steven of Mount Airy Ace Hardware was more than up to the challenge. He watched over my order like a lion protecting its newborn cub. He kept track of everything, took action when necessary and called me frequently, including on weekends, to bring me up to date. I wish there were higher numbers I could use to rate the service I received at Mount Airy Ace Hardware!”

“Harbor Freight is what it is: adequate tools at cheap prices. Retired mechanic who had over $60k in tools and box speaking here, so I might know a thing or two about tools. However, you just can't beat the prices for tools that will get the job done around the house, but they definitely aren't for professional/heavy-duty use. There are plenty of videos and stories online of their impact sockets literally exploding, so foretold is forewarned. BTW, Home Depot and Lowes tools aren't much better and are much more expensive regarding hand tools.”

“Excellent service at this location in Gaithersburg! Dealt mainly with Santiago and Fernando, excellent reps of this establishment. I utilized TW Perry for a deck project, using them for roughly 90% of my materials and they were extremely professional. There were a few snags during the process, but both Santiago and Fernando made them right! It was a lot of materials that were ordered so small hiccups like missing parts (very small ones) and damaged items (most likely in transit) are to be expected. They credited me for the damages and even gave me the missing pieces, without giving me any grief. A++ I highly recommend this location, looking forward to my next project using them and will absolutely be referring people word of mouth style. Thank you Santiago and Fernando, you guys are awesome!”

“The negative reviews are unfortunate to see. But I can certainly speak for myself. I had a fabulous experience with John today. Came in with a pretty niche product need that the local Home Depot did not have in stock. Without skipping a beat, John walked right over to the shelf, pulled down a box and handed me the EXACT part. “So after going to a local nursery and looking at Christmas trees, attempting to shop local for the holiday... I just could not stomach paying that much of a premium for a local vendor. I'm 100% willing to chip in a bit extra to buy local. But this nursery, about 8 minutes away from Home Depot, was almost twice the price for a tree that was 2 feet shorter. Some of the cheapest trees there were 80 dollars, and they were a bit rough off. Most of the trees we're 109 and up. So I made my way over to this Home Depot and found a tree that's about 6.5 feet for about 60 bucks. I'm sorry local nursery. Like, I said- I'd be fine with a bit of a mark up... but not a 100 percent markup for a shorter tree. I'm sorry, I just can't stomach that ;/ In any event, I ran into this place and the guy in the nursery was SO helpful. He asked me a bunch of questions about the tree I wanted. I'm always a little bit lost when shopping for trees. Do I feel confident that I know the difference between a fraser fir, balsam fir, noble fir - absolutely not. Do I know the difference between those and a white pine... yes. I know A LITTLE something lol. Just not a lot of something. So the super nice guy took down some trees for me, cut off the netting and shook them out just so I could see all the branches. He was as nice as could be. Then, the young gentleman who attached the tree to the top of my car was also as pleasant as pie. Is that even a saying? It should be if it isn't one. He was a super nice guy who I found out has worked at Home Depot for 5 years now, and he's planning on going into the Air Force soon enough. He did a solid job of attaching my tree to my car roof, and he was even hesitant to accept a tip when I offered it. I did insist that he took it. All in all, a solid wonderful experience at Home Depot in Germantown getting a tree. It was secure as could be on the way home and I love how it looks all trimmed up :)”

Came in straight away after we asked for assistance, got a vanity that was waaaay on the top of their huge display racks but heard no complain from him, he was quick, patient and delivered our vanity with a smile and fistbump. great job!
