“We had zero problem with this stay and would come back. Quite frankly some of the reviews for this motel are over the top dramatic and I think you need to keep in mind the price point when booking this motel. You're not going to get a five star Fours Seasons type luxury hotel for what your paying to stay here. Be realistic. It is an excellent value for service, cleanliness, and location.
The most important thing to me is cleanliness. The room was spotless. No bedbugs and the bathroom, towels and sheets were clean. Is the hotel dated in some regards? Absolutely, but again, the price point. Saying that, the carpet wasn't in the best condition, this seems to be a common complaint, but it was clean. The maid came around every day and left the our room cleaned.
This is a motel, so it's one level on ground level. Did a fly out two come in during our stay? Yes. This seemed to be a common complaint as well, but this is not the hotel's fault. This was a result of leaving the door open to unpack or whatever else. I'm sure flies come into your home unintentionally too and you wouldn't like people calling your home dirty. I think it's unfair to mark the hotel down for that. It's not like the room itself was attracting them as some of these reviews eluded to. There was a strong smell of sulfur when initially turning the faucet on or taking a shower, but this passed and did not linger.
We didn't get to use the pool because of the weather, but that looked well kept. We also didn't get to enjoy the free breakfast during our stay because we went right into town each morning, so I can't comment on that either.
The men in the lobby were kind and they shared their knowledge of the area with us. The location of this hotel is perfect. It's a three to five minute drive into town where parking is free.
I would stay here again. It's clean and close to town.”

“Beautiful waterfront, outstanding service and delicious food, so what's not to like! Set in a semi-rural area of St. Michaels, this is a quiet place, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. You never have to leave but it's close enough to drive a few miles to St. Michaels or Easton for shopping or other activities. Loved waking up to the sound of birds and nothing else! The outdoor pool was pristine, the multiple decks meant we had the space to ourselves and the interior design and furnishings are beautiful. The staff was amazing in their responsiveness to our needs and the breakfast and dinners we had were equivalent to those of a high end restaurant without the pretense. A special thanks to Linda W, Terry, Heidi and Yevy for extraordinary service. We're looking at dates to return in September and we can't wait!”
“Another year, another amaizing trip to Wade's Point! This was my fourth annual watercolor retreat to this location and i will once again be returning next year. An amazing getaway for a quiet retreat. Huge private property on the water. Enjoy walks, biking, kayaking and more. Breakfast is included with your room and they are super nice about dietary restrictions including gluten free and vegan. Also, they added fresh squeezed orange juice this year.”

“Absolutely magical stay at Sandaway Suites & Beach! From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, elegant, and incredibly welcoming. The waterfront views are breathtaking — especially at sunset — and the private beach creates such a relaxing, exclusive atmosphere.
The suites are beautifully designed: spacious, spotless, cozy, and full of charm. You can truly feel the attention to detail in every corner. Waking up to the sound of the water and enjoying coffee with that view was unforgettable.
The staff were exceptional — warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, making the entire experience feel personal and luxurious at the same time.
If you are looking for a romantic getaway, a peaceful retreat, or simply a beautiful escape from the busy world, Sandaway is a hidden gem. One of the most charming and memorable places we’ve stayed. We will absolutely be back!”

“We had a great time at this perfectly located quaint inn. My review is 5-stars. The 5 stars are not for complete luxury or top of the line amenities. The 5 stars are for what you dont get here, no traffic noise, totally surrounded by nature, an inn that is lost in times past, owners that are committed to the rural and rustic character of the property, and modernity. We had full views of sunrises and sunsets for two days. Tons of wildlife such as birds, deer, rabbits, foxes, etc. The room was perfectly decorated as it must have been 100 years ago. The owners were very accomodating and helpful. We cant wait to go back.”

“For the price it’s a great place to stay for a weekend. I was in the area for a wedding and it was right before the bridge to Tilgman island. They have a continental breakfast included and you can rent bikes for free. I loved waking in the morning and having breakfast at the tables outside overlooking some beautiful flowers. There were some bugs in the room but it’s expected since I had a front and back door I was going in and out of.”
“This is my second visit to this inn, and I have fallen in love with it. The warm atmosphere makes it welcoming and relaxing, and I particularly enjoy the beautifully decorated rooms. The owners clearly take great pride in their establishment, and it shows in every detail. I am already looking forward to returning to indulge in the incredible cuisine at the on-site restaurant.”

“We had our wedding at Wylder in October and cannot say enough good things about the venue and the AMAZING staff here!! They truly care and went above and beyond for us throughout the entire weekend! Thanks to KD and the rest of the awesome team at Wylder for making our wedding weekend unforgettable!”
“We had a pleasant stay at the George Brooks House. Will received us and gave us a good introduction to the property as well as dinner recommendations in town, but that was the only interaction we had with the owners. The property was quiet and restful; just outside of St. Michael's and off the busy main highway (and easy to miss because there is no obvious signage). Our room was spacious, clean, amd well-lit. The grounds were attractive. Coffee, tea, and soft drinks were available all of the time, as was a community refrigerator (none in rooms). Breakfast included a tasteful selection of muffins, a cup of mixed fresh fruit, a piece of French toast casserole, and bacon. Our criticisms were not major, but with some details that fail to compare well with other comparably priced B&Bs from our experience. Our room had instructions to refrain from changing the temperature control. Fortunately it was cool enough to open windows and not require a/c. Some of the electrical outlets didn't work, so we had to charge cell phones in the bathroom. Some of the window blinds were broken and difficult to adjust. We noticed a few other cosmetic things that could be improved, such as touching up drywall and paint, but nothing that was unsafe or unsanitary.”
