“I stay at this place frequently. The staff is nothing short of amazing. The breakfast buffet is as good as any all you can eat in Disney. They take pride in their hospitality at this hotel!! Kudos to making my trips much better. Shout out to Alaya!!”
“Went here for family reunion for the second time. This is primarily a golf resort, but there are other activities available. Indoor and outdoor pools, tennis and pickle ball courts, spa, restaurant, gym.
The rooms are comfortable, though I wish there was a dresser in the room. Only able to hang clothes. There is a nice TV, an iron and ironing board in the room, hair dryer and desk with the only chair, so the only other seating is the beds. Also have a small fridge and microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker.
The resort is very large. Our family had two meals included and a gathering room for meals and socializing. Was a long walk from the lobby to the room for meals, but the food was very good.
I think my family enjoyed the weekend, and since this was the second time we chose this place, we obviously liked it. It's located just south of Baltimore, so there are things to do there, too. It's also close to Ellicott City, a lovely town with nice shops and restaurants. Both the resort and Ellicott city restaurants were fairly popular, so make reservations for activities and meals. The restaurant was not as busy but has a limited menu.
I would go back for a third time, because it really is a good place for families and things to do. Prices are not exorbitant for the rooms. Don't know what it costs for golf, but it looked like quite a lot of people were golfing. If you need a clean decent place for your event, I would recommend you check it out.”

“Convenient location right off of BW Parkway, close to BWI airport out of the fray of Arundel Mills Mall and Casino which we prefer. Close to lots of eating options.”
“This is a great hotel. I received excellent customer service from Dontrell upon check in. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He also provided me an overview of the hotel and amenities and my benefits as an IHG member. This is location has great food, excellent staff and centrally located.”

“Friendly staff, rooms are in great shape. I did have a room where the AC didnt work and I was moved to a different room with no issues. Good location, can be a little loud due to road noise during the day but it is better than other hotels I have stayed in. Beds are comfortable, appliances work well. Rooms are well lit, and good water pressure in the showers.”

“Incredibly beautiful hotel, I almost wish I had stayed longer just to enjoy how pretty it was. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a small issue with my booking; the system somehow double booked me, under two different discount codes. The lovely woman at the front desk was very efficient at clearing it all up getting me situated while also being very nice and joking around. The manager came over just to check on things and was also great to talk to. Valet parking was very easy, and the attendants were great. Went to the café downstairs, food was pretty pricey, but for the area it isn’t bad, and the portions are *more* than generous.
Literally a block away from CFG arena. The room wasn't very expensive compared to others, and I likely saved even more just by not needing to take an uber. I was here for a kpop concert, as were many other guests, as well as a lot of military people were staying. So a very loud gathering of people on top of being in downtown Baltimore. However, my room was very peaceful, no excess noise spilling in.
There is certainly some wear and tear in the rooms, like other reviews have stated, but nothing to detract from the stay at all, just what one can expect from a historic site.”
“Great location, finally a nice hotel not only near, but NEXT TO Johns Hopkins. Beds are ridiculously comfortable and bathrooms are spacious but feel cold. Dear Charles has a great menu… LOVE the breakfast selections and don’t skip the roasted chicken for dinner. Staff is solid and works hard to ensure you enjoy your stay.”

“The the staff is so good, very clean rooms.
The only concerns are: 1.Smokers, yet they say it's a smoke free area and they were 3 ladies on Sunday smoking near the elevator of the ground floor. 2. Monday morning around 1am someone came banging on doors.”
“Easy on-line reservations. OUTSTANDING front desk Customer Service. Great maintenance staff who rapidly corrected a minor television issue. Very comfortable rooms. Pool and Fitness Center were closed due to upgrades. Nice bar in lobby open until midnight. Nice pool table on lobby for guests. Very enjoyable stay!”
“Commuting from Virginia to Maryland to visit with my son. To find a relaxing place to spend the weekend. One of my first options will always be at the Doubletree By Hilton in Laurel. It's convenient and the customer service is top tier! While I was staying this past holiday weekend. As usual, trying to cram everything to do in this visit. I forgot I set a time for Instacart to drop off a couple of grocery items. I forgot to put my room number. My son and I left super early to return to our room later. Natacha from the front desk was outstanding. A small act of kindness speaks volumes. She remembered my son and I not just as guests, but as people.
Natacha anticipated the risk of our groceries sitting out in front of our room and quietly solved the problem before it became one. She simply had the Instacart order left safely at the front desk until our return. By protecting our perishable items without needing to be asked, without making it a production, and without waiting for praise. That’s the kind of care you can’t train into someone — it comes from genuine attentiveness and pride in their work. That's hospitality in its purest form: thoughtful, human, and proactive.
It’s a reminder that even in the middle of my busy, layered life — someone noticed, someone cared, and someone made sure our day went a little smoother. Those moments matter, especially for a mother traveling with her son. Natacha is another outstanding representation of the Doubletree by Hilton in Laurel, Maryland. =)”

“Stayed here for two nights (Saturday, Jan 24 to Monday, Jan 26) during the big snowstorm this month. My job (at Fort Meade) booked the room for me, so I didn’t have to worry about finding a place in the storm. The hotel was perfect for that—close to the base (about 5–10 min drive normally, though roads were icy), clean rooms, warm heat, and the staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful when I checked in.
The room was standard Courtyard style: comfortable bed, good Wi-Fi, microwave/fridge in the room, and quiet (no loud neighbors). Breakfast area was open, but I didn’t use it much. Location is great if you work at Fort Meade or need to be in the BWI area—everything felt safe and easy even with snow everywhere.
Would definitely stay again if my job books it. Solid spot for work-related or short stays during bad weather.
Thanks to the team for keeping things running smoothly in the storm!”
“The property is what is expected at the price point. The place was very quiet which I appreciated. Some of the furnishings in the small lobby area definitely show wear and tear. My room was nice and clean and though I came with my own towel I noticed the towels there weren’t paper thin. The free breakfast was limited (again it matches the price point). My only irritation was when I was attempting to get something to drink from the juice dispenser I was having an issue and didn’t know if it was out or I was doing something wrong … there was one other person in the space with me and she was getting breakfast as well, I didn’t know she was staff because she wasn’t in a uniform and she simply looked at me while I was talking to myself about what I could be doing wrong. I realized she was a member of staff when she walked into the staff only room (no why would you as an employee try to assist me or tell me it’s broken). Nevertheless when I saw another young lady that come out of that room and was grabbing a bite I asked her about the dispenser and she tried it and realized it was working but was empty and apologized for the inconvenience. No juice for me. Just a brief overnight so I didn’t see or use any other amenities. There is nothing in the immediate area so you’ll need to drive or prepare to Uber everywhere.”

“I always stay at this hotel when visiting my work. It's generally always a good experience.
I do miss the chef that used to be in the restaurant ? I don't think he's there anymore.
If I had any complaints it was that the ice machine was gone on my floor and I had to go track one down.
Check your receipt to when you park because sometimes their automated system gets screwed up and you may be double charged.”

“I mean I hope you set your expectations correctly here. A government owned hotel. I was impressed with the room, had everything I needed, however didn't seem the cleanest overall.
Service was 10/10 at night, morning service was....physically there but not the most helpful at all. Probably 6/10 in the morning just not really engaging with my questions and getting distracted on their phone while I was standing there.”
“Everything went well and we were satisfied with the room and location. The only disappointment was the fact that we were told “no food or drinks in the lobby.” We were here for a wedding and the lobby could have been a wonderful place to enjoy company. To not allow at least drinks is not really acceptable.”

“The rooms were alright, just need to fix the toilet seat covers and the shower door as it needs a hard push/pull to close and open our shower in room 240.
I give Ms. Kay a 10/10 review, I’ve never had an issue with booking.com reservation before until yesterday, but Ms. Kay help us make the check in process less frustrating due to a problem with our 2nd room caused by booking.com error. Ms. Kay is amazing and assisted with letting us check into one of our rooms early so we can go and freshen up and get situated while dealing with booking.com on our 2nd room. She has a heart of gold and she loves Jesus, we need more people like you Ms. Kay! Thank you to the general manager as well Ms. Alyssa for assisting with the booking.com error. God bless”

“Honestly, as a tourist we had a great experience with this hotel. We were looking online found a couple places we made the call attendant was friendly and we booked the room in seconds. The room itself was a bit dated but was clean and had two nice beds and AC that worked. I hope anyone looking for a hotel check this spot out. Location was good had lots of stores and restaurants near by.”

“My stay here was very nice and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay here with clean rooms and excellent service provided. The staff (Ms Ellie, Ms Kim and Ms Tanzi were nice, friendly and very accommodating; I really appreciated their hospitality. I would stay here again upon my return back to Baltimore. Thanks Ms Ellie, Ms Kim and Ms Tanzi - Great Staff!”
“The hotel is nice and quiet which is a giant plus. You can actually sleep. Its clean. The only failure is the pool. It's May and 70 degrees and chilly outside. The pool heat was not on and neither was the pool room heat. We couldn't even go in. My grandkids were freezing and so was I. It wasnt at all enjoyable. Well I picked an indoor pool for a reason and the pool should be heated in May especially when it's been between 50 and 70 degrees most days recently. So we couldnt use the pool at all. No one was in it. Otherwise this hotel gets 5 stars for staff, cleanliness and breakfast. The tea water is behind the pillar near the front doors, they could use a sign with an arrow but otherwise it was all pretty standard. Very good management. Even the pool would be good in summer. I hope they put the pool heat on in winter and they should definitely have it on until the weather is hot out. If I had to stay in this area again I'd recommend this hotel. If you tend to be loud, this hotel is not for you at all. Its a nice quiet place and people respect it. No one made noise at all after 8pm (and even earlier) and there wasn't a sound in the hallways over night. It was such a nice change from other hotels in the area which have become full of loud, rude, thoughless people. It was nice to get a good night's sleep. It also took me a minute to realize the remote is not broken. You dont aim it at the TV, there's a box next to the TV that you aim it at. So you cant block that box or it doesnt work. The remotes are fine. In the old days everything had directions, now you have to figure it out at every hotel. So I got up and looked and figured it out and the remote worked just fine...... Saturday night was annoying because there was a preteen birthday party and the kids got picked up around 11/11:15pm. The mom was so loud and rude in the halls. If you're going to allow large parties, set rules. Pickup kids in the lobby only. No yelling in the halls. Hold a deposit that states you lose the deposit if anyone complains. It was door slam after door slam after door slam and obnoxiously loud talking and some sort of banging. The children were well behaved. Interestingly they also used the pool we found freezing. By 1130 it died down but they were still door slamming a few times while the rest of the hotel was quiet.
Follow up. That kid party woke me up several times until 130. I had to go down to the front desk. They came right up and told that mom enough. Again good management. And Sunday morning is a door slamming nightmare. Every single door slammed over and over during breakfast hours. The hotel was booked. I finally put on a white noise video and went back to sleep just fine. Weekdays though were fine. I would stat here again but use my white noise video in Saturdays.”
