“Incredible experience with this store - specifically Millie, but all staff were great. We were looking for a very specific nursery chair, but we were unable to find it. I called around a lot of places, before learning that this store would be able to purchase it for us. My husband and I stopped by yesterday to look at the fabric samples. We were very overwhelmed by the large number of options available to us. We were in the store for over an hour, and Millie was so kind and patient. She helped us narrow down the fabric selections based on what would look really good in our baby room. We found one sample that we really liked, but it turns out it was just discontinued a few days ago. Despite this mentally went above and beyond to try to help us find similar patterns. We were able to find three that we narrowed it down to. She then let us take the fabric samples home so we could think about it overnight. I’m so glad she did because it really helped us make a decision. She then took our order over the phone and it couldn’t have been easier. I had no idea that this store was in Columbia. Bob's Discount Furniture is growing while its competitors shrink. The Manchester, Connecticut-based retailer reported strong fourth-quarter results in its first earnings call since going public in February, with revenue climbing 8.2% to $648.8 million. Full-year net revenue jumped 16.8% to $2.4 billion, and net income rose to $121.7 million from $87.9 million the prior year. CEO Bill Barton told analysts the company plans to open about 20 new stores in 2026 and sees a path to more than 500 locations by 2035, roughly two and a half times its current 209-store footprint across 26 states.
Wayfair is testing a new, smaller store design. The online home furnishings giant, famous for its endless digital catalog, is trying a different strategy for its physical locations. The company announced plans to open a smaller prototype store in Columbus, Ohio, scheduled for late 2026. Located next to the Polaris Fashion Mall, the new space will span approximately 70,000 square feet.
Online furniture giant Wayfair is setting up shop in Atlanta with plans for a huge 150,000-square-foot store opening in 2026. The new location will take over the former Walmart space at The District at Howell Mill shopping center. This marks Wayfair's second big store, following its first location that opened in Wilmette, Illinois, in May 2024.
