“Demmy's is a very good pharmacy with very friendly and knowledgeable individuals. The only issue ai hae is with their email process and how the app is designed and works. I find it not easy to use and understand. I find that many things I want appear to only be to be done by asking the pharmacy individuals to do it. If a user can do the things, that ia not obvious. I would prefer using a much more user friendly app which is easily understandable -- that is not what I have found in using the app for a little more than two months evn though I have extensive knowledge of computers.”
“This location is great. They have a nice variety of foods. I went for international items and found Gojukaru, dumpling sauce, Mongolian oil, and got a great slice of pizza. I also order my Starbucks from there (you can order on the app). Plenty of parking, in a central location next to a liquor store, restaurants (Mod Pizza, Chic Fil A, NY Pizza across street, Giant Grocery, Ross, TJ Maxx, etc.) Very convenient!”
“Great local grocery store that is a real throwback in an era of only chain supermarkets. Staff really get to know the customers and you can get some great deals if you go in open to cooking whatever the sales are. Incredible wine department for a small store!”
“This Giant store is what you call “top dawg”. The products here are plentiful and they always have what I need. They have a deli and a seafood area where you can buy a lot of fresh stuff. The pharmacy here is really good. But the prices are absolutely horrendous. Giant is so expensive and they claim to have low prices. Also the receipts are sooo long! I get one thing and the receipt is 8 inches!! (I measured it).”

“I went to store #342 on 12/13/25. Michelle the cashier at the Giant was so nice and very professional! Michelle took the time to help me with my giant app that all of a sudden was acting like it wasn't trying to function well, Michelle took her time helping me and it ran into the time that she was supposed to be getting off of work. Michelle Still was willing to help me it was very frustrating for me and got very overwhelming Michelle helped me through the overwhelming and getting my giant app working as should have! Michelle was a blessing at that time of help! I could have left the store feeling pissed off overwhelmed and some more, but I did not thanks to Michelle! I left the store feeling great ? Thank You Michelle ? I really hope that Michelle will get the recognition for going way and beyond best customer service cashier from Giant Food Corporation! On February the 4th 2026 I went to the store 3:42 4119 Branch avenue Marlow heights Maryland 20748. The cashier Matthew was very professional and such the perfect gentleman! I really appreciate it how Matthew greeted me and welcome me to shopping at Giant! That makes you want to shop more at Giant the one where Matthew works! I hope when I go back to shop at Giant Matthew is still a cashier there it really makes me feel great when you're appreciated! Thank you Matthew! “I switched from Walgreens a few years ago to Lawsons and my only regret is that I didnt switch sooner! A real family pharmacy, great professional friendly service every time. And when you call? You get a live person, not the endless recordings as with chain pharmacies. Definitely recommend Lawsons; support our independent neighborhood businesses!”

“I've been shopping here since it was a Super Giant. There's probably few people remaining around here that know or even remember what that was. It's always been a good store. Since it was downsized many years ago from the Super Giant to a regular Giant it's a bit on the small size by today's standards, with not as big a selection as other stores, but it also makes it much easier to navigate and get in and out of. The store is clean, well stocked, and the people working there have always been super nice and helpful.”
“The regular lines were several people long, but the self-checkout had no wait. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. In general, I like this store. They keep it organized, clean, and stocked. When there has been a problem, the employees have been nice and helpful.

“Huge and well stocked. You could practically get everything you needed from the store. It bubbled and had good staffing with fresh foods (fruits and vegetables included).
Unfortunately, they closed down in the wake of the COVID pandemic. Giant has since taken over the facility.
I am certainly one of those who miss this ShopRite store.”
“I went to CVS to get some medical supplies. All items were in stocks. I pi ked up lunch at Popeyes everything was good, even the biscuits. The biscuits were cooked just right, not hard like previous visits.”
“I used to take my Rx’s to the Target CVS in the same shopping center. It’s like night and day going to this giant pharmacy. Everyone is always so kind and the service is very fast. I never have to wait in line!”
“I've had a great experience here. they always fill my prescriptions in a timely manner and I've never had any mistakes. I also like that they text when your prescription is ready, which is not always option at a small local pharmacy. The staff are polite and best off all I've literally never had to wait for even one person ahead of me when I pick up my prescription. they have a decent selection of drugstore products too--most items they have one name brand option and one budget option. in contrast to this place, the walgreens down the street frequently failed to fill my prescription in time, never picked up the phone, and usually had a line at the pharmacy counter. very glad I switched to this pharmacy!”

“Walking into this pharmacy reminds me of the old Cheers show—where everybody knows your name. The pharmacist/owner is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about his customers. I love that the owner takes the time to remember your name and ask how your family is doing. We've been getting our prescriptions filled here for years, and in that time, he’s watched my kids grow up. They always get our prescriptions right and treat us like family. I highly recommend East Pines Pharmacy.”

Staff was communicative and nice.Also, staff was patient while I had to call the insurance company cause it showed denied.And after the shot I told them how my son thinks grown-ups should get lollipops after a shot and they said I could (I didn't actually want one but that was very accommodating). ?”
“Not the best experience with buying donuts on this particular day. Once getting into the store at 7am(opening), the bakery Dept. had limited variety of donuts. When questioning the baker, she stated that donuts weren't made before store opening and I should call in my order the day before. A manager who heard the comment disagreed and stated the bakery Dept was open since 5am and the variety of donuts should've been available. The baker did bring out a few more varieties of donuts, but I had to wait between 10-20min. Donuts themselves were delicious.”

“For the past several months my medications have not been delivered on time and I have even ran out of my medications because of the new staff I've been thinking about changing pharmacies I've been asking to speak with Dr . MenYaw for 2 weeks now and he hasn't called me yet, I don't believe they gave him my message because I know that he would have returned my call, I am his first costumer when he opened the pharmacy on Minnesota Ave and I've been with him since, but the new staff is making it difficult for me to stay, I really like this pharmacy but since the staff have changed I'm not getting my medications delivered the way I'm supposed to I have to, the staff is always attentive and respectful it's just trying to get all of my medications and my daughters medications delivered on time has changed 😪”

“I never thought I'd be writing a review for a pharmacy, but this one is really good! The first time I used them, my doctor called in a prescription. Before I had even left the doctor's parking lot, Avalon called me to talk about the prescription and to tell me they were starting to fill it already. (Super fast!). I was able to pick it up on my way home. On another visit, I was able to get medication filled while I waited. They are also stocked with other medical-related supplies as well. Excellent pharmacy, highly recommended! Thank you Avalon!”
