“Went today for an urgent visit because my doctor’s office recently had the doctor leave after less than one month and the Nurse Practitioner that I really liked (after meeting for 1 visit) was out today and tomorrow so the person answering phones there suggested I go to Urgent Care. I happened to see a sign near Fairwood Safeway and thought I’d try Excelsior out hoping for less crowds, less waiting and kinder staff. I hit the jackpot on all of that. I offered a suggestion to add a hook in restroom for purses/jackets and they thanked me and it’s on their list. Liz Rivas, NP, was so knowledgeable and down to earth. Now that I know they also do Primary Care, I’m strongly considering them. Just read the reviews about John’s Hopkins in Bowie and will definitely not go there. Excelsior Urgent Care had smiling welcoming staff, clean, bright facility and excellent services.”

“In Dr. Diener's absence, I was given a same-day appointment to be seen by Jennifer Case before a long holiday weekend. Mrs. Case was very attentive in hearing my problems with a worsening summer cold. She clearly explained my medical condition and prescribed medication which began to show positive results quickly. “Last week me and my husband had a chance to visit our new Dr office, I'm not sure way they had bad reviews but our office experience was awesome. The receptionist greeted us and the triage nurse checked us in, We meet with Dr.Filani he is new to this office ,he was AWSOME as well. He took good care of us. When we was all done , Ms. Destiny the exit receptionist was very nice and polite. Like I said this was an awesome doctors office. Thank you Maryland primary care physician for an outstanding and excellent job.”

“I'm not sure Mr. Volker (the Nurse Practitioner here) gets the kudos he deserves based off of all of these other reviews. Mr. Volker has been phenomenal since I started my care here earlier this year. He always has time for me, listens intently and completely to my issues, and always has some sort of relief or solution for me. This isn't even to mention how attentive he is on the MPCP portal (which is amazing, btw). He always responds usually within 24 hrs if it's not a weekend (and sometimes on weekends!) and is always ready with the highest possible medical care he can provide. Mr. Volker is the real MVP (along with the front staff) at MPCP. Thank you for all you do.”

“This 5 star rating applied when Dr. Shantz practiced here. Since he retired we were assigned to Dr. Lawson who promptly left the practice. We had seenor spoken to other doctors at the practice when Dr Shantz wasn't available and wanted to select one of them to be our primary care doctor. We were told we couldn't do that because all the doctors at this practice weren't accepting new patients, but we could go to another location and choose a new doctor. We are NOT new patients at this practice since we have interacted with doctors here and feel comfortable choosing a new primary care doctor from whom we are familiar.Please hire some new physicians at this practice to alleviate the patient overload of the existing doctors so that they can accept us as existing patients.”

“I really like the doctors here , I don’t trust any other practice , ever since my son was turned away at another practice when his breathing level was low, these doctors take their time and really answer all you questions . I dunno why there are so many bad reviews , that is not my experience . The only thing I agree with most of the reviews here . Is the front desk person , she is not nice almost has that attitude of “why are u here”. She isn’t very pleasant to talk to. Last time I was there I walked in she didn’t seem happy kinda gave me a look , when I told her I was here to pick up a paper she seemed at bit brighter maybe cause she thought she didn’t have to deal with me further lol But I try to look past that since the doctors here are great.”
“I wish you could clone medical professionals like Dr. Meyers. He takes the time to answer questions and helped me make an informed decision about my health.
