“I booked an appt to shop the sample sale and I am so glad I did! First off, great atmosphere and set-up for displaying and trying on the dresses. There were also snacks and beverages available (didn't get that at the other 2 places I went). Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff - but not pushy. The booking fee was much less than the other places I went. I found my dress here during the sample sale and got it more than 60% off (other places were offering 20ish% off for samples). I am so thrilled with my dress, and the whole experience was great. There were a lot of little cute touches that Ellie's provided too - like the signs and a backdrop for photos, gifts after purchase. Loved it!”

“An exceptional experience at a fine institution. The proprietor Ed took care of us in a timely manner without lacking even the smallest attention to detail. We are visiting for the DC Mardi Gras and needed tuxedos last minute. Ed was very accommodating and his prices were so reasonable! We are leaving tomorrow and he even offered to pickup our clothes from the hotel for us. Wow! Great service, and will definitely be back next time in DC. Oh and he recommended Martin's Tavern for lunch, a local establishment, calling the manager to ensure we got in!”

“There aren't enough wonderful things I could say about my experience with Marie & Serki!! I live in San Diego but was in VA for a work conference. I didn't love any of the dresses I had tried back home, so I thought I'd take a shot at trying a few dresses during my lunch break! I called Global Bridal and they told me to come on in.. I rushed over to Global Bridal and Marie met me immediately with the dress I had inquired about and the most incredible amount of loving energy I'm still deeply appreciating 1 month later. I didn't love the dress I had picked, but Marie had already picked out 3 dresses for me to try.. every dress was more & more beautiful! I was sure the 2nd dress was the one, but Marie convinced me to try one more.. and my goodness, IT WAS PERFECT! My mother passed away 5 years ago to the day.. and wedding dress shopping without my mom has been something that I've been truthfully dreading.. but the way Marie & Serki were celebrating with me and loving on me.. it was one of the first times since she's passed that I felt my mom's presence in a big way. I truly believe that my mom led me to visit Marie & Serki that day and the memory of my trip at Global Bridal still brings me tears of joy. Marie & Serki- thank you from the bottom of my heart! You didn't know this, but you both made what would've been a dreadful experience for me one of the most enjoyable and heart-warming days for me. Your love for your brides is felt in a way that is SO unique and authentic.. “I've known I wanted to shop for a dress at Anthropologie for over a decade, ever since I walked into one as a teenager and fell in love with the dresses hanging up around the space. Sarah was our bridal stylist and she was absolutely amazing. She was so friendly and attentive, she really made me feel special and made sure to check in with me and figure out exactly what I liked and didn't. We tried in seven dresses total, and I ended up trying two again, all within the hour-long session. I honestly had no expectations coming in, I thought I'd try a few on and then come back for a second appointment. But I'm so excited to say I found the perfect dress for my elopement. The one I chose ended up around $1300, which was a great price for how gorgeous and well made the dress is. We bought before we left and it was back ordered, so I should get it in a few weeks! Thank you to Sarah and the entire Anthropologie team, it was such a fun, easy experience and all of the dresses are so gorgeous.”

“My daughter's prom is approaching and we purchased a beautiful mermaid-styled dress at a bridal shop where it would be altered. They cut the train off and my daughter and I were heartbroken. They reattached it but the seam was highly visible and the nylon tulle underneath was not reattached. Alvin is an angel. He worked a miracle on earth and, now, my daughter is over the moon! When she graduates college, I'm ordering a custom-made dress for her from him. His skills are impeccable. I wish we had ordered one made for prom but I have learned my lesson. I am going to the best from the start and the best is Alvin! Thank you for saving my child's prom!!!!”

As someone with a mid-size/curvy body type, I was really happy that many of the samples came in sizes to fit me. “Wedding Gown Specialists just did an Amazing job restoring my mother's 45 year old wedding dress that was stored in a plastic bag for the entire time. It was so yellowed and had stains. I came in almost in tears because we are having my mother's dress made into a First Communion Dress for our daughter and I had no idea how long a restoration could take! I didn't think we could get the dress to the seamstress in time. Barbara was so kind to me and talked me through the process. She understood how much we needed the dress to be restored quickly and with quality to make this new family heirloom. I got the dress back early (3.5 weeks)!! It is so beautiful- looks like new! We will definitely go back for a post-communion cleaning so our second daughter can also use the dress!”
