The store is clean, well organized, and easy to navigate, making shopping quick and enjoyable instead of stressful. “I have been shopping here for many years and am seriously remiss in posting a review, because, I'm afraid, I've taken this gem of a resource for granted. This small shop is thoughtfully and expertly jam-packed full of essentials and staples of every Asian cuisine, as well as rare treats, special, hard-to-find items, and even cookware and gifts. The owners and staff have always been so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I don't know what I'd do or where I would go for the many beloved food items my family enjoys from this wonderful little market if it wasn't here. I'm so grateful that this long-established market is still going strong, right here in Salisbury! Check it out! You won't be disappointed. “Spice bazaar lives up to its name. Go there to dig into a treasure trove of Indian spices, ready to add an array of magical flavors to your dishes. Or pick up ready to eat savory delicacies. Even better, add a box of yummy Bengali sweets for a moment of pure carnal indulgence. Fresh veggies, Indian snacks, pulses, legumes, mustard oil and ghee, the list is endless . The cherry on top is the fact that this quaint little beauty is women owned and women-run. Walk into the store already, if you haven’t, and if you are lucky you’ll run into Suparna, one of the owners, with a broad smile on her face, and an extremely friendly demeanor. “Been a faithful customer since 1995 when we moved within two miles of B&J. I can't say enough good things about the previous owner, Bob. He was the shining example of a small business man. He knew his customer's names and we were like family in the way he made us feel when walking through the door. Every year for many years when my brother would visit from Washington State, he and my niece would stop by B&J on their way to Assateague for a scrapple sandwich no matter if I'd already cooked him one. Bob remembered them, year after year. Mike has been gone now for quite some time but my niece still talks about the market. The spotless bathroom is always available for customers. I am happy to say that the new owner, Mr. Patel, is just as welcoming and is interested in what the decades old customers have to say. He has retained the exceptional staff and the store is clean and well stocked. Mr. Patel even delivered my sandwich to my car a few days ago. Very thoughtful. As always, the deli is great and everything is cooked to order. We are so happy to see Mr. Patel carrying on the B&J tradition. I wish him great success as the market is an asset to our community. I think really good fried chicken may be on the horizon. We can only hope!”

“(Will be going again in a couple weeks for pic updates and more food ) The atmosphere was on the cooler side but the music warmed us as we danced at the site of the menu. Our waiter Karin was kind, she introduced herself warmly and even seemed like she was happy being here. She kept us informed of our meals that came out and was even on it with the drinks. “The Salisbury Grocery Outlet is wonderful. This was my 1st visit to a a Grocery Outlet. I purchased about $280 worth of name brand groceries for less than $150 and that was without coupons. The store is very clean, well organized, large with wide aisles, and staffed with friendly, helpful employees. The Salisbury store is much better than the Glen Burnie location.”

“I was welcomed from the first Sunday I attended Worship Service. It was a spiritual event for me with the Liturgy and preaching by the Bishop Richard Lipka and the Church Pastor Fr, Larry Hill. I appreciated the fact that Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday. Being in an Anglican Church is a new experience for me and I like it. Holy Trinity is a Cathedral because we have a Bishop in residence, he is Suffragan Bishop Richard Lipka, Bishop in the Missionary Diocese of All Saints of which Holy trinity is a Parish.”
“I always do my monthly runs here. They always has everything you need and their items are cheap. The customer service is also fantastic. Today, when an employee saw me about to go to the register, he made sure to stop what he was doing and take my order. He was extremely professional, really kind, and even held the door for me because I had a cart. “We visited this small store today for the first time . They have the basic groceries you need and a halal meat place at the back of the store. The man who owns the store runs the front and is a very good honest man. Equally good is the butcher at the back who is learning his way to cutting meat and doing a good job. The whole lamb and whole goat meat just arrived half an hour before we got there and it was very fresh so we bought a lot more than we had intended . You need to support this small business owner by buying from here as much as you can . Clean store , very good prices and very good service . We will travel an hour again and come back here . “The store that's now on Mount Hermon Road is very nice inside, big, and not at all cluttery At least yet. The only thing I have with these stores is they don't answer the phones it rings and rings and Rings till you get some kind of crazy noise or something I don't know what it is you have to call it yourself but it would be nice to be able to pick up the phone and call them if you happen to leave something behind did you grab it for somebody and I'll come back and pick it up? That's the type of thing I'm talking about as far as I go. But other than that everything's fine. They have what I need almost always.?”

The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
