“I was there to Officiate a wedding. Nick the Clubhouse Manager was very hospitable, professional and helpful. Nice size venue and I was told they have space to rent downstairs as well. Great drinks. Clean establishment and parking was available. I hope to be back to Officiate”
“My team recently hosted our annual Breast Cancer fundraiser at Hollywood Ballroom, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional.
A special commendation must go to Eddie. His professionalism and attention to detail were the backbone of our event. He treated our cause with immense respect and was a true partner in the setup process. He anticipated needs we hadn't even considered and managed all the logistical complexities seamlessly, which allowed our team to focus on engaging with our guests and supporters.
Eddie also added several special personal touches that deeply resonated with our mission.”
“This place has improved over the years. Looks like they are redoing some green surrounds and bunkers soon too. I heard rumors they are redoing their fairways next year as well. Affordable memberships considering the area. I have friends who have been members for years and still enjoy it. The golf course is really solid. They have a great mixture of holes. A couple of drivable par 4s and all the par 5s are reachable from certain tees. Two tough par 3s on the back that can make or break a round. Green surrounds are tough if you're in the wrong spot. The greens themselves are always in fantastic shape. They are severely sloped at times, so you must be accurate with your approach shots. I couldn't find the golf course architect on their website, but they did a good job considering the hilly topography and small footprint of the property. But I can also see one hitting pretty much the exact same shots every time no matter what tee box you're playing. Favorite hole: Par 5 12th, except for the yellow range balls that litter the left side. Downhill the entire way. Range on the left, trees and then the 18th hole on the right. Reachable for many with usually a blind-ish to a peninsula green with water right and long. The very tall red stake frames the front right of the green. Very cool hole before the brutally tough par 3 13th. The driving range is good and they have really nice Titleist practice balls to hit. The short game area is outstanding. I could spend hours out there with a few wedges. They have two small-ish putting greens on either side of the clubhouse. The restaurant is a great space and they have an area for bigger events. The food and service are both good too. Sadly, I have not enjoyed the pool area. Just a solid club overall. The members I have interacted with have all been great. I have had and heard somewhat mixed interactions with the people that run the place, but nothing bad enough to write about here.”
“Visited for the first time to see the Black Boys Cry play, for my mother’s birthday. Staff was very pleasant and space was small and intimate . Garage Parking was about 2 blocks away. Snacks was available for purchase and bathrooms was clean and stocked.”

Venues And Event Spaces
“Just had my wedding here this weekend and everything went great with the venue! They're super responsive and flexible, and the rates are great for such a big space in the DC area.Attached some photos of the space by our wonderful wedding photographer Daniela Zapata.”
“At this point, I/O Spaces has become a staple of the Silver Spring community. It is a unique, flexible, creative and collaborative event space. If you can think of a concept, or a function, the I/O spaces team is willing to work with you to pull it off successfully. Over the years, I have seen entrepreneurs--from artists, designers, vendors, photographers, and even students--utilize the space for a myriad of functions. While Silver Spring is already diverse, having a unique hub to showcase, incubate, encourage, network, and promote communities, (most especially diverse immigrant ones) is a necessity one didn't think Silver Spring needed until you see I/O Spaces. I highly recommend.”
“I've lived in Silver Spring and can't believe it took me several years to find out about this place! It's got live music plus affordable beers, liquor, onion rings, and burgers. Parking is easy because the door opens right onto a county parking garage and lot. The crowd tends to be on the older side but everyone is happy and in a good mood. Cheap drinks will do that for you!”
